CNN- Increased Iraq Violence due to our mid-terms!?!
I just heard this spouted by a military propagandist on the Situation Room. It wasn't a 'guest' but a tape of a military 'briefing' claiming that 'insurgents' have increased activity due to the US midterms. The unsaid, but inferred, reason is they want to influence US voting.

This was a 'uniformed' military press 'briefing' not a spin-doctor spewing this crap. Of course, it was completely unchallenged by Wolfie. Watch for this to be repeated (over and over)

:wtf:

1. Amazing how amongst the daily bombs and IEDs and massive slaughtering
and lack of food, water, medicines and electricity, the Iraqis are all concerned about our midterm elections.

:eyes:

American arrogance simply has no end.

9. The three hours of electricity they are provided
is apparently wasted on Fox news. Whoda thunk it???

Could the U.S. be any more arrogant?

2. Damn those Dems! If they'd done the patriotic thing . . .

And let Republicans run unopposed in all races, then no Baghdadis would have been murdered by power drill today! No shoppers would have been turned into hamburger at the market in Mosul! And -- most importantly -- no 19-year-old PFCs from Waycross would have been vegetalized by an IED.

Damn them, damn them, damn them.

3. Wasn't the same thing done with Vietnam?
People saying Hanoi was prolonging the war because of the the domestic opposition?

4. Short of a new bin Laden tape
this is their only hope: to spin the Iraq spiral of violence in their favor.
Free Republic ditto heads are signed up to this propoganda 1000%
Never mind that the insurgents would be taking pot shots at US troops no matter who was President.

6. Yeah, because in Iraq they really give a sh*t about our politics.
I think they're all too busy trying to survive our occupation right now.

They've been repeating this all day long. Also inferring that the terrists want the Dems to win. All propaganda all the time.

13. Blame it on The Liberals!
Ya know, don't sweat the small stuff. The Corporate media has been figuratively wearing knee pads for The Bush Administration from day one.

People in general do NOT trust the M$M ... in other words the Chicken Little RW Media Pundits have cried "The Sky is Falling" one too many times. This tune is played out.

Continue to salivate over the Wall Street highs Media Whores because the average American KNOWS that you don't give a shit about the Non-Investor (Peon Chattering) Classes. :grr:

12. George W. Bush comes up with his ingenious solution
Cancel all elections! That will show the insurgents that the United States is not to be trifled with. And our evolution from democracy to dictatorship will be complete.

14. In 2004 they won saying voting against Repubs was siding with terrorists
Not surprising that Bush and all of his enablers in the media are now pushing this theme again since it seemed to work well in 2004 when the Bin Laden tape was released right before the election to turn the tide for Bush and Repubs.
