Bush Asserts U.S. Rights Over Space.......really
Edited on Thu Oct-19-06 03:47 PM by AnnInLa
Am REALLY aggravated that I can't copy some of the article, don't know what's going on with my browser or that site.....anyway, it is worth a read because gwb just said that "space" belongs to the US, and will not be pleased if other countries try to horn in on our territory....this is an order that was signed a month ago, but has not been made public, except that the non-classified parts appeared on the website of the Office of Science and Technology.

Please go and read this example of extreme arrogance, and take a gander of the pic of gwb that CBS put up by the story....you MUST see that pic! Makes you wonder how CBS views gwb claming space for the USA.

(AP) President Bush has signed an order asserting the United States' right to deny adversaries access to space for hostile purposes.

Mr. Bush also said the United States would oppose the development of treaties or other restrictions that seek to prohibit or limit U.S. access to or use of space.

The provisions were contained in the first revision of U.S. space policy in nearly 10 years. Mr. Bush's order, signed more than a month ago, was not publicly announced, although unclassified details of his decision were posted on the Web site of the Office of Science and Technology Policy.

"Freedom of action in space is as important to the United States as air power and sea power," the policy says. "In order to increase knowledge, discovery, economic prosperity, and to enhance the national security, the United States must have robust, effective, and efficient space capabilities."

8. Shrub is talking out of his ass as usual....
...US can not stake claim to Space or the Moon, sorry dubya. US signed a Moon Terriorty along with several other nations that no one nation has the right to claim it because it belongs to us all and not one single nation.

Same goes for space...When was the last time the Taliban or Al-Quade launched a satillite into orbit or anything else for that matter??

Shrub is a fucking dumb ass.
