DU turned me against the war during the run up
I was just thinking that I was kind of leaning toward being for the war with Iraq until I started researching all sides. I started going to DU during the run up to the war, and reading William Pitt's "Truth Out" articles. By the time "shock and awe" started I was totally against the war and remember being "shocked" at what my country was doing.

So yes, DU has changed a few minds. If most of the country had been going to DU before we attacked Iraq, I think they would have changed their support as well. It's so important to really research all sides of an issue before forming an opinion. Too bad more people don't take the time to do this.

Thanks to Skinner and DU as well as guys like William Pitt for educating me and showing me the truth.

1. I agree with you....
DU has enlightened me to many different opinions, fact finding and generally good conversation....

Kick to all who believe in thinking, open dialog and camaraderie.

2. So true, this site gives you info and places to go to verify
You learn what sites are not very reliable and people. Hell, some even send you to the Freepers site. That's a depressing trip.

3. Listen to Bill Clinton at Georgetown
He explains very eloquently, why facts matter little to the 33% that support Rs. It's on C-Span somewhere.
