A couple of mysterious 911 calls to Las Vegas police -- all apparently made from the bathroom of a Starbucks on Paradise Road by a terrified drunk gal -- have suddenly derailed Congressman Jim Gibbons and his campaign for Nevada governor.

The story is changing so quick we can't even get a timeline in order, so let's just randomly toss together some of the filthier details, after the jump.

The next day she told police she decided to drop the matter "mainly because of who he is ... I just don't want to go up against something like that." She did not recant her story, as the Gibbons campaign had claimed.

Aside from the conflicting statements offered by Gibbons and Mazzeo, there is one clear difference between the campaign's version of the events and what Gibbons told police.

Gibbons told officers Saturday that after leaving a bar where he'd been with his campaign consultant Sig Rogich and four women, he made an odd choice for a man just weeks away from Election Day: He walked Mazzeo across the street to a parking garage to help her to her truck, according to some police records. Other police records said he went with her to the garage to get his own car and drive her to her truck to avoid the rain.

This discrepancy, as well as others in the police reports, can only deepen a growing political problem for the five-term congressman just days before early voting begins.

Hers sounds drunk and hysterical, at first (she was running at the time). The second is more controlled. The 3rd sounded together rather shocked and disbelieving of what had happened to her.

His statement to the police REEKED of BS he claims she said what a good job he was doing and hoped he'd win, that she kept touching him on the arm, (he NEVER touched her).... LOTS of 'uh's'... I'd have loved to see his eyes in this interview. He said she was really pretty. His interview REEKED.

A woman made three 911 calls claiming that a congressman running for governor assaulted her while propositioning her for sex. The candidate denied the accusation, and the woman dropped the battery complaint the next day.

Chrissy Mazzeo, 32, told police that Rep. Jim Gibbons, who is leading in the polls in the governor's race, grabbed her arms and pushed her up against a wall late Oct. 13 as he propositioned her in a parking garage, according to police reports released Wednesday ...

Mazzeo dropped the complaint the next day but she did not recant the allegations. She also told police she was not pressured to withdraw the complaint ...

"I just don't want to go up against that," Mazzeo said ...
