Does anyone know how the militia's, the far-right people, the black
helicopter people are reacting to the new Military Commissions Act? They were so scared of Clinton taking away their guns, what are their reactions to the removal of habeas corpus? This should start get to be very worrisome. Will they see Bush as a threat or see the Democrats coming into office as the threat? A lot of interesting questions getting ready to be presented. Especially since KO presented the interesting point at the end, What happens in 2.5 years when a Democrat comes into office and may see GWB as a threat?

1. The far right militia's think they are on the side of the * cabal
they are too stupid to realize they are the enemy.....and they do not understand the long term impact of what this president has done....they will...and it will be too late....

2. The way I see it is, everything that they were afraid of Clinton doing
was just done by Bush. Wasn't the Free Republic started along the same thinking lines as the militia's,The Randy Weaver type people? I am not good at expressing myself, it just seems at some point they will blow up.

9. Wrong!
One of my neighbors is a long time member of the state militia. He despises Reagan, Bush41, Clinton, Bush43 - most politicians. To over generalize, they are anti-government similar to the anti-federalist during the Constitutional Convention. They distrust the power of government no matter which party, political interest or ideology controls it. While many people were complaining about the passage of the Patriot Act, they were holding meetings and organizing opposition to it. The first time I saw a swastika associated with Bush was pre-9/11 when my neighbor left a patriot/militia magazine on my porch. Odd and prophetic? From my understanding the mass majority are 3rd party Constitutionist, classical liberals and traditional (Goldwater) Conservatives and have been aggressively against any Bush since 41's speech on Sept. 11, 1991.

"when we round them up, in a couple years, we can ask them."

I'll put it this way, if the federal government ever drops the hammer on the U.S. bring in a fascist state, the first and hardest blow will fall on the militias. They will be the ones dying in an attempt to save/restore the republic. Can any of us say that? You may laugh and call them stupid now but if dark days are ahead you might just end up siding with them.

I just googled up what I'm guessing is a popular militia radio network.

Scroll down and check out the news stories. They're virtually the same as DU. Weird?

4. If it's done by a Republican, they think it's good.
Done by a Democrat = bad.

5. I don't know any militia people personally, but I do know people that have
connections to them. From what I'm told, they are not now nor have they ever been happy with *bush.

6. They're mostly nativists.
Which implies pretty much that they're US citizens. They might be declared enemy combatants, but they'd have a relative or friend that could get a lawyer to file for habeas corpus.

7. I'm so glad that the groundwork has been laid for President Hillary.
The Chimp has been playing right into her hands. Can't wait till she puts them all in Gitmo. I may even get a job with the security service, just to have the opportunity to tor...umm, use "harsh" interrogation techniques on them.
