The Progressive Revolution

FLASHBACK:
1994 ... I wish I could remember it better. I was just a lad.

Here's some stats:
- 34 House Democratic incumbets lost
- Overall, 54 seats swung to the Republicans
- House Speaker Tom Foley was defeated

The 1994 election is known as the Republican Revolution (Massacre is probably a better term).

What we could very well see in this election is the birth of the Progressive Revolution. Mark my words, folks. The writing is on the wall.

Under Bush, several hundred years of social progress has been set back. I have doubted there’s much hope in getting universal health care for all Americans.

Under Bush:

I have doubted we’ll see responsible environmental policies that test our ingenuity by seeking energy independence and new alternative fuels.

I have doubted we’ll see a change in foreign policy or respect from our traditional allies.

I have doubted we’ll see an increase in minimum wage.

I have doubted we’ll see tax cuts for the middle class.

I have shed my doubts, thanks to the efforts of true progressives, and the rally cray shall begain:

PROGRESSIO VICTORIA!
