Oprah asks: Would you like to challenge Bill O'Reilly?
Bill O'Reilly will be appearing on Oprah next week. The show will tape on Tuesday and air on Friday. (The Dixie Chicks are the guests Tuesday!) Oprah is looking for people who would like to appear on her show to challenge O'Reilly. Here is the link for any DUers are interested.

https://www.oprah.com/plugger/templates/BeOnTheShow.jhtml?action=respond&plugId=232500001

From the link:

Would You Like to Challenge Bill O'Reilly?

Do you watch The O'Reilly Factor? Do you disagree with Bill O'Reilly's conservative point of view? Do you have a hard time with his brash opinions? Does his show stir up heated debates with friends and family? Do you ever wish you could challenge Bill O'Reilly on his ideas? Have you read his book "Culture Warrior?" Do you struggle with where he stands on the issues? Do you disagree with his opinion on everything from the war in Iraq to health care? What do you think about his stance on education or the division of church and state? What about the Foley scandal, Hurricane Katrina or 9/11?

The Oprah Winfrey Show is looking for viewers with a strong opinion on the political issues. If you or someone you know has always wanted to challenge Bill O'Reilly on his opinions, we want to hear from you! Please only reply if you're willing to be on television

3. Well, here's your chance!
I'd love to see O'Reilly faced with an audience full of DUers. Wouldn't that be great?

I'd like to ask him how he can lecture on character and values in light of his history of sexual harassment.

13. Thanks for the k&r.
I hope a lot of DUers will see this. O'Reilly is directing people to go to Oprah's site to sign up for this. She is probably going to do an audience question format like she did with Frank Rich the other day. Let's get the audience loaded up with DUers! I'd hate to see it filled with nothing but OReilly people.

Another thing people can do, is send Oprah an email encouraging her not to do a "soft interview" and possibly suggest some questions that she might ask. I'd really like to see her address the sexual harassment issue. I don't think I've seen anyone really push that issue with him and I think it would be of great interest to her viewers.

Here is a link to send her a comment or question about his appearance.

20. OOOH - Your Kiara sounds similar to my old Billie-girl
Edited on Fri Oct-20-06 06:54 AM by marzipanni
Billie's mom looked like a border collie, but she was malamute-Australian shepard X , and her dad was a blue heeler. Billie had one blue and one brown eye, too! We loved her, but her old heart gave out when we were camping at Lake Tahoe three years ago. My son was eight, and he was comforted realizing that Billie died in a place she loved surrounded by her people, and at a perfect but sad time, at the evening campfire, like the original dog-man friendship.

Two months later I found "Freckles" face on the local SPCA website. She was a 2 yr.old border collie-blue heeler X. We adopted her, and she became Sally Freckles (just Sally most of the time) She's a loveable dog- and nudges us to throw tennis ball or frisbee daily.
What was this thread about-oh, yeah- O'Reilly on Oprah. What a bag of hot air he is. She should give each audience member a loofah tied in a
red, white, and blue striped ribbon at the end of his appearance.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kirara

Kirara (雲母, pronounced as Kilala in the English dubbed anime) is a character in the manga and anime series InuYasha.

P.S. waiting for the next set of InuYasha amines on Cartoon Network. :woohoo:

to do battle with O'Lielly. It would be so much fun to see Mr. Blotchy Face's veins pop out of his neck and forehead. Perhaps he'd have a stroke or an aneurysm right on stage! An instant Oprah classic! :applause:

The Dawg would expose that two-bit huckster in a New York minute. The segment would close with O'Lielly screaming, "SHUT UP, JUST SHUT UP! CUT HIS MIC. CUT THE POWER TO HIS MIC". Like I said, an instant Oprah classic. :)

I had a roommate who was on her show. The title was "I hate the things you do when you're drunk and I'm not taking it anymore!"

My roommate was the queen who was the drunk. :D

edit: no, I'm not joking. It actually happened, and I have the taped show to prove it.

His first name was Reid. Big hair. BIGGER queen.

24. I think someone should challenge him about...
his interview with Barbara Walters. He was seen as such the Family Man and even was allowed to insinuate that President Clinton was not ---- what did his wife think about his sexual predator tapes and lawsuit? Why are we supposed to forget about that and accept that he is Mr. Family Man - just as we are to forget that Limbaugh is a drug addict and Gingrich an adulterer???

I hope Oprah puts him in the No Spin Zone for real!

46. I emailed Oprah about this.
I'm glad you used the term "sexual predator" because that is exactly what O'Reilly is. Sexual harassment has become a big joke and I have to admit, I've laughed about the falafel boy along with everyone else. But I've also been in Andrea Mackis' shoes and it is an ugly and frightening experience to go through. I've never seen anyone interviewing O'Reilly really hold his feet to the fire on this.

on edit, here's what I submitted to Oprah:

I am a veteran who is angered by the direction my country has taken. I hold Bill O'Reilly and the other right wing talk show hosts responsible for cheering and enabling this administration to subvert our constitution and lower our standing in the world. They have damaged our nation.

I find Mr. O'Reilly's "support the troops" stance especially hypocritical given this president's policy of eliminating funding of Veterans programs.

Finally I submit Bill O'Reilly is in NO position to lecture any of us on any moral issue given his sordid past. I want to challenge him personally and am thanking you in advance for the opportunity.

sincerely,

my name
