Edited on Fri Oct-20-06 06:59 AM by historian
Doesnt that phrase scare you to death? its so reminiscent of a child trying to impress his parents. Oh look mommy I pooped in the potty all by myself! I sometimes wonder if, deep down, some loyal bush supporter isnt secretly appalled by this cretinous, ignorant, intellectually dead moron who is leading the world to the pits. The crusades were nothing compared to what cess pit brain is doing to the world.

9. The tape recorder was reading them while dubby fiddled about
He thinks he can multi- task, like the time he wanted to play tennis and follow poppy and ride a Segway. We all know about that spill.

walk and chew gum at the same time. Or watch TV and eat pretzels!

7. I don't buy it
No one who remains that ignorant of the world around him could have read that much.
I know I haven't read 60 books, but I'm not bragging. In the bush economy, one is lucky if there is time left after work to catch a little news before bedtime
pRetzel :dunce: read all about pretzels, my pet goat and curios George goes to the circus.

8. Hah!
Unless those sixty books are all thirty pages or less.

That's slightly more than a book a week, and he gives no evidence whatsoever of reading more than five or six books a year.

I read a lot more than many people, and when I used to keep a book list, I generally read somewhere between 75 and 100 books per year. So it can be done, and there are people out there who read more than I do. These days I probably average somewhere around one book a week, and it feels like I'm hardly reading at all. Too much time on the internet, for one thing.

10. O K I want book reports-hand written-
No Cliff's notes, no ghost writers, no staff help.

That incompetent moron has not gone beyond "The Pet Goat."
Reading quality books is a way to meet thinking people in order to expand one's horizons, broaden one's thinking. His thinking has not improved.

19. Cliff notes. Those I could see him reading.
You could easily breeze through 60 cliff notes books.

Of course the only way this fool reads 60 books is if they're in the picture book section of the childrens branch of the library.

14. I'm too busy to read that much... I worked over 200 hours last month
My work load has exploded. It's like working an extra week every month. We have several clients in crisis mode and I can't find the time to read.

Doesn't Bush have clients (us) in crisis? Oh, how does he do it? Does he not sleep? How much time a week does he put in at the office?

I would think and hope that the POTUS was fully engaged in running this country, which is in full-blown crisis. The proper management of a situation like that leaves little time for pleasure reading.

between, naps, his early bed time , fund raising and 60 books...when does he work? I am a stay at home mom with all my kids in school and I don't usually get more than 1 or 2 books read in a month. He has to be reading Dr. Sues or something.

25. Sooo child-like
I am an avid reader and I have not even thought of "keeping count" of the number of books I have read since I was in elementary school.

Is Bushie in a reading contest, or what?

Jeesh!
