Duke Cunningham's sad letter from prison
http://www.abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory?id=2541128

Cunningham has lashed out at the reporter who uncovered the corruption scandal that sent him to prison, telling him in a letter that his "constant cruelty" had nearly destroyed Cunningham's life.

"I hurt more than anyone could imagine and without my faith your constant cruelty would destroy me," Cunningham wrote.

"I should have said no to the gifts. For that, I am truly sorry," Cunningham wrote.

"Each time you print it hurts my family and now I have lost them along with everything I have worked for during my 64 years of life," Cunningham wrote. "I am human not an animal to keep whipping."

boo hooooo, you've got me crying, for yoooooo....

But not in this case. Sorry, Dukie, you're just a big pile of crap.

40. He should be executed. Anyone who accepts bribes during a time of....
war, regarding defense contracts should be executed. I'd hang this republican mofo. And since he was in the military and still committed this crime I'd hang this republican mofo, twice. And I'm not to big on the death penalty either.

He sentenced to terms in the brig, gave bad discharges to, and ruined their lives in various and sundry manners. But that was different, no doubt. He was righteous then...

5. Suicide is not the answer, Duke
What would Jesus have done?

Why, he would have accepted his scourging like a man and looked forward to his greater reward.

Now buck up, little fighter pilot. No more whining. Sac up.

"The former Navy "Top Gun" pilot also blasted defense contractor Mitchell Wade, who helped implicate him to authorities.

"Wade is the absolute devil," Cunningham wrote in the four-page, handwritten letter, excerpts of which were published Saturday on the San Diego Union-Tribune's Web site.

Wade has pleaded guilty to giving Cunningham more than $1 million in bribes and is awaiting sentencing."

So is Wade "the absolute devil" for twisting the Honest Dukester's arm into accepting more than a million dollars in bribes, or for not continuing to lie and instead finally admitting the truth about the whole sordid affair?

Dukester's letter is wrong on so many levels it makes we want to puke. "gifts"? WTF? If he was an animal it would be o.k. to keep whipping him?????! He's not sorry about anything. That reporter needs to keep printing and NEVER relent.

I hope he's in for a long time and when he gets out he is continuously hounded. Otherwise, the rethuglicans will bring him back, distort the past, and rehabilitate him like Nixon.

Remember his comments, when you start to feel urges of bipartisanship and letting bygones be bygones. Remember that the rethuglicans are NEVER sorry, and just playing you for an advantage to stick a knife in your back!

so it makes sense that Cunningham would hate the reporter.

Just being a typical crook, I suppose.

It's amazing how many Republicans seem to end up in trouble with the law, for one thing or another. And then it's supposed to be the moral and religious thing to vote for them!

hold his betrayal of the public trust as "constant cruelty" inflicted on all of us. I know mercy is something we should all strive for, but I just can't scrape anything at all for him. Thank God that we still have some reporters who are actually shining some light into this darkness when they can.
