At this low point & late hour, can the neoconazis turn it around? |
|
karl rove boasted about an October surprise, but this is indeed the lowest point of the entire bush presidency, turning it all around in their favor looks almost impossible.
America HATES bush's war, and its the only thing he ever talks about and the neonazis swear up and down the war isn't going to end just because a bunch of silly Americans say it should.
They've taken so many hits in the last year, its hard for me to imagine any wild stunt or scenario that could now pull their desperate asses out of the fire before November seventh.
Of course, these assholes have no regard whatsoever with logic or reason or public opinion, and are liable to pull anything, as they have proved over and over again.

1. Yeah! they peddle fear and hate better then anyone |
|
It's hard to battle against because they have no rules and zero in the ethics and morals area. They will say and DO ANYTHING to keep power - I for one will not be surprised by anything they try.

2. No, they are drowning in their own excrement.... |
|
and they will eventually choke on it.
I was watching Pat Buchanan on Hardball last night, he spent the whole time railing Bush and the neocons.
Bill Clinton spoke yesterday in Maryland and Virginia, and welcomed the conservatives to the Democratic Party.
There is some extremely weird shit going on.

game that has been thrown at America by the SCOTUS will end eventually, but with so much blood and fury spent it will take ages to recover. I hope this November will have so many voting Democratic even the rigged machines will explode.

even if they try a fix, I think the Dems still take control, and the probability of them being caught at it is enormous.

8. Didn't they turn it around in 2002? Seems like I have read |
|
that the polls were bad for the Reps in October 2002, and things didn't turn out too badly for them on election day. I don't think that the polls in October were as bad then as they are now, plus Iraq hadn't happened yet, but it still seems likely that things will tighten up over the next 2 to 3 weeks.

9. Why does it seem likely? |
|
The polls are terrible and Republican voters are disinterested; don't see how it will tighten up.

12. "Likely" was probably a poor choice of words. Should have said |
|
"possible."
Their polls were terrible (not this bad, but bad) in 2002. You're right I think their voters are more disinterested than ever, but who know what a couple of weeks of big money commercials can do to rev them up.

|
if they didnt have all this disgusting repug trash of their own, might have been effective, but with so much filth within the republican party, the dems appear angels and the trash totaly insignificant and petty on the repug side

turn the Hindenburg around? When you have an obsolete agenda and nothing but hot air holding you up it's doubtful. Spinning and yawing now... those on board are only thinking of their own personal survival.
Whatever the Neocons 'pull' before the elections will backfire on them. There probably will be some desperate attempts to Diebold some races--but it will be very obvious if they do that.
The Repugs have no credibility. After the elections they'll have a private wake with big crocodile tears and phony speeches. Then they'll get back to their usual dirty bidness as best they can.
The nightmare will not be over, but there will be a little ray of light coming in.

|
they have the cheat machines installed nearly everywhere
they now have abolished habeas corpus, so look for them to escalate the rhetoric attacking their pooponents as "friends of the terrorists," "enemies of America," etc. preparatory to the first wave of arrests and the cancellation of at least parts of the election.

that would be the ultimate wargasm, but I don't know if it would entice folks to vote for continuing the war or for voting republican.
