Lindsey Graham Wants to "Clean Your Clock!" Democrats!
or at least that's what he said!

"What's changed?" Graham said. "It's not the quality of the nominees, it's the quality of the process." He said Democrats want to make "a campaign issue of the decisions on the court." In that contest, he warned Democrats, "we'll clean your clock."

1. This person is a fascist
Edited on Thu Jan-26-06 12:49 AM by Clara T
I'm telling you it is so.

"So, don’t look to wild-eyed Gadaffis, bearded Husseins, or flaming-faced bin Ladens for fascism in America; those are CIA creations and that’s not how it will come. Look for the well-scrubbed, kissy-faced, prayerful hands class president for our own proud mutation of the hoary tradition. We do nothing quite like anyone else and this will be no exception. The new facilitator will beam and quote scripture as he reveals his horns and tail. The Repuglicans will rejoiceth in his presence, yea, even while the Dimocrats bow and scrape, begging for a crust of the royal bread...and thus fascism will have decended upon America, not roaring and fierce, not raking the air with bloody claws, not squalling and preening, but softly, quietly, unnoticed, on cat’s feet."

2. Definition: to cause someone injury
Slang of the Week: clean someone’s clock (verb phrase)
To beat someone

Example:
“Give me all the Rolexes,” said the thief to the watchmaker, “or I’ll clean your clock!”

Celebrity quote:
“I was singing You Ain’t Woman Enough when this woman raised up and said, ‘I’ve been to Hurricane Mills, and I had your old man.’ I pulled up my gown and hit the floor—I was gonna clean her clock.”
- Country singer Loretta Lynn

8. I noticed yesterday
there seemed to be a lot of threatening going on. Who do these people think they are? We do not have to march in lockstep in the USA - yet.

10. He also said, ''...make no mistake, this is about abortion..."
during the hearings and then went on elaborate how that was a good thing yet the media insisted on applying that standard to the democrats. Graham is a scrappy li'l fella, all partisan, all the time.

11. During the hearings a lot of fascist rhetoric was flung by the Repubs.
Edited on Thu Jan-26-06 01:07 AM by gumby
Grassley called Senators liars.
Cornyn said that Democrats "want to give terrorists special rights."
And 'lil Lindsey said, with the veins on his neck sticking out in outrage, that the Repubs would "Clean Your Clock."

What's changed? This is THE BIG PUSH to end this Democratic Republic.

This IS the Big Kahuna. Too Bad poor 'lil Lindsey is so conflicted that he, like a lot of the Repubs, have chosen to take their personal angst and project them into international war and into a war against the Constitution.

Don't they know that this war against the American People "is not therapy?"

'lil Lindsey, and the rest of the Repubs, need to get a grip already...
or their pathology will continually kill (including me and you).

15. Seriously, I haven't heard that since 5th grade
and the bully that said it in response to my refusing to give up the dessert that my mother had so lovingly packed in my lunch ended up hurting just a touch.

Now I am not a violent man and I truly have no time for childish positioning but be it known, henceforth, no one threatens me, nor my family, nor my countrymen/women. Or perhaps some may threaten, but they do so at their own peril.

Your words, Mr Graham, may have been figurative, but either way, do be careful which sleeping dogs you nudge, rhetorically or otherwise. Soon enough you'll be cleaning out your desk, much too busy for my clock.

18. Lindsay, hon. . .I wouldn't be so aggressive on that point
We all know how you supported all that Schiavo shopping around for "activist" judges and how your party delayed justice for all people for no better reason than to hang onto power longer.

24. Graham on Alito
Edited on Thu Jan-26-06 01:20 PM by Clara T
Graham called Alito an outstanding nominee and chastised Democrats for failing to give him bipartisan backing similar to that enjoyed by Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Stephen G. Breyer, who were nominated by President Bill Clinton.

26. God, I'm so tempted...
I wanna send him a beat up, old fashioned wind-up clock covered in mud/grease with a post-it attached that says,
"I heard about your offer to clean our clocks, and decided to take you up on it! Please feel free to keep this clock in the event that you are indicted in the Abramoff scandal. I wouldn't want you to miss any court appointments! - From A Democrat Who'd Like Our Government Cleaned Up, Not Clocks"
