It is the republican death knell. It is republican arsenic. It is the Patriot missile and Stealth Bomber Independence Day rescue. The celebration finale of bringing America back and constitution revival, all rolled up into one .

The humiliation is served up to republicans at a level ten Richter reading and nothing can prevent the fault from opening up under them and burying them in their own repugnance.

They had the "Contract For America" with a pledge of legislation to be passed in their first 100 days.

Nancy has promised that we are going to reverse six years of regressive and despicable insults to America, in the first

We are going to:

:bluebox:...implement ALL the 911 commission recommendations immediately. Every one. For real committment to Homeland Security.

:bluebox:...make it legal and mandatory that the Director of Health and Human Services negotiate for the lowest price of all prescription drugs, just like the VA.

:bluebox:... we are going to raise the minimum wage to $7.25 an hour and end nine years of republicans holding American workers in poverty, while lavishing themselves in pay raises.

:bluebox:...we are going to take away the Hummer buying tax cuts to the 2006 modern day pirates of big oil and use it to immediately reduce college tuition by 50%, so that college is once again part of the American dream, not the unaffordable nightmare.

:bluebox:...we are going to institute fiscal sanity again by immediately instituting paygo. Just like every business and family home in America has to balance their checkbook, the government is going to be bound by the same constraints. If you want a program or initiative, find the money to pay for it. No more borrowing from China to fund corporate giveaways or highways to nowhere.


This is not known and it is insane that it isn't. We need to drive this down every republican's throat for the next three weeks. We have to sloganize it so it gets known to voters across the nation and repeated at every water cooler. So they literally can't wait for November 7th. The candidates have to be repeating it ad infinitum.

There is no comeback for it. It makes the republican 100 days pledge of 1994 look like a joke. It is unprecedented and as noble as the flag flying over our land in its mission and purpose.

And it is the DEMOCRATS once again who will be leading the charge to undo the untold damage.

Let's get this out there everywhere, and send these moral values reprobates to the republican graveyard in deserving and humiliating numbers!!! ...This will do it.

Your indication of no knowledge of it even as a DU member on this board shows how incredibly bad the Democrats have been at getting this out there. And it is stupefying why not.

Nancy Pelosi has said it, Reid has said it, Rahm Emanuel just said it on Stephanapolous. I just heard the second-in-command of the HSCC say it on C-Span.

This is what Pelosi guarantees to do in the first 100 hours with our majority. It is historic. And people barely know about it.

What about the Senate? Are we counting on Republican votes there?

If the Senate does not revert to our control, the Democrats will still be able to use legislative strong arming to get it to a vote.

Since the House passes a bill, the Senate has to act on it. Any republicans voting against these bills would have constituents burning up their phones.

Not only that, we are certainly going to gain Senate seats, if not the whole enchilada. So, it puts the republicans in an unwinnable box.

If bush vetos, he will be a pariah. Pressure will be huge to override it.

Depending on how large the Democratic victory is, it could even show an American demand mandate.

9. A great many Republican Senators would have to vote with us if we

were to override a veto of President Bush -- who wouldn't hesitate to veto a bill passed by Democrats, in my opinion.

I hope this all isn't wishful thinking -- I'd certainly like to believe that this is the plan, and that it's feasible.
