Binghampton Press Op/Ed: "Rove Bad For Democracy"
http://www.pressconnects.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061020/OPINION/610200306/1005/OPINION

Friday October 20, 2006 OPINION
Rove bad for democracy

Karl Rove's political strategy is good for winning elections, but not good for democracy. He attempts to destroy great men by character assassination, both Republicans and Democrats, such as John McCain (who was shot down over North Vietnam and spent five years as a prisoner of war), Max Cleeland (who lost three limbs in Vietnam) and John Kerry (who served honorably in Vietnam) while the clients of Karl Rove never left the United States.

It is no wonder that the military was having trouble meeting its recruitment quota before lowering standards. Why would young people risk their lives and limbs for their country just to be belittled by the likes of Karl Rove?

It is time for the voters to wake up.

1. Well stated!
Rove's elections are NEVER about ideas. His work has destroyed democracy. I hope that history notes his work accordingly and that God sees that Rove gets justice.

US Constitution. Just ask him. Some weeks back when someone who was interviewing him commented, that he doesn't seem like such a scary guy, Karl said something to the effect of ... you should be, I change constitutions, I put churches in schools, or something to that effect. (I'm paraphrasing cause I don't have the exact quote, but you get the drift)

edit for link

3. Binghamton, not Binghampton.

Named after Henry Bingham.

It's a pretty conservative place. They are still trying to repair the damage done this spring with bad flooding. Maybe that's generating some discontent.

On edit: I meant to reply to OP. sorry.
