does Bill Clinton help democrats? |
|
I know he's a powerfully persuasive voice for our party, but he seems to outshine every current voice so thoroughly,Does he makes Howard Dean and co. look less formidable?
this question has vexed me for weeks.

There's a lot of love for Bill in the party - but also a grudging acknowledgement that it's time to move on.

Anything he does or says helps the democratic party. As much as he was liked during his presidency, after any president leaves office, their public approval skyrockets.
He can, and will, help every democrat every time he says a word.

decisions between 2001 and 2005? What "word" helped Dems when Clinton defended Bush on his war strategy, Iraq, the Downing Street Memos and even after Katrina?
What Dem camdidates did he help in 2002 and 2004 when he refused to answer the 8 books and GOP smear that "Clinton did nothing for 8 years" and "Dems are weak on terror" that Dem candidates were necklaced with?
Why did he wait till fall of 2006 to finally speak out about those charges once the books were turned into a movie? Why did it get that far?
I love to listen to how Clinton speaks, too. It can be so warm and inviting, and make alot of sense. And then he gushes over the Bush family as if the whole thing is so cute, and that he's not aligned with a bunch of thugs, murderers and fascists who have sought to undermine the democracy this nation strived towards for a few centuries.

3. I think he's a BIG HELP! |
|
He's such agreat speaker, even the Pubs enjoy listening to him!
I don't think he undercuts Dean or any other Dem. Anyone who thinks at all realizes that all people are different and each have different pluses. Even the Pubs realizethey don't have anyone who can speak as well as BC!
Pick any city, and the guy draws a hugh crowd!

the current administration and leaders in Congress it can only help imo. He gets people to think instead of just reacting emotionally.

10. Now - but Bush2 made tons of money for GOP candidates in 2002 and 2004 |
|
and THAT was when he needed opposing, instead of being PUBLICALLY supported by so many Dems, ESPECIALLY Clinton who was not shy about preaching bipartisanship for the last 5 years, or shy about his public support for Bush and his policies.
In fact, this new leaf just got turned in early September.

11. A great leader comes along every once so often. You take cues from |
|
her or him their whole lives. They will inspire generations to do well and become leaders themselves. Why would you want to get rid of that? Think of the effect Carter has had on some harry situations in the world since his Presidency.
Remember too that Clinton makes Bush seem the size of a tic. And after Bush appears on Larry King everyone always says that.. "I miss a real intellectual, a real leader".
