2. Good for him
Everything I've heard about him says he's a wonderful man. IMHO, it takes great bravery to put yourself out there like that.

3. Dang - doesn't that ad make you angry?
Angry that 2-bit politicians who don't know a whit about suffering from these diseases, refuse to help people like Michael?

5. Very powerful. One of the best ads I've seen

Michael J. Fox is very well thought of, and many have been touched by his courage throughout his struggle with this horrible disease. I think it's a wonderful ad and puts a very human face on the stem cell issue.

I would like to see this ad made on a national level. I think it would have a positive impact.

4. That made me cry! I love Michael J Fox
and I think it's whacked that people like no talent will send our Soldiers to die in a misbegotten war but when it comes time to save lives they pander to the extreme idiots who think stem cell is killing babies. They don't mind killing babies in IRaq though.

Please can we get rid of these people who have no morals and feed off of killing, stealing, and lying?

7. That ad should be the model for all future Dem ads
It's simple, cheap and 100% effective.

kids at a camp for kids with serious illnesses and handicaps for a photops (in Greensboro) when many of them hav conditions that could possibly be helped by the research he banned, and privitized.
the money he spent doing it, and rasing money for the GOP, and of course so much more money he has wasted (and lives) could have amde a major contribution toward helping people! http://ncwcw.blogspot.com

15. i read the largest number of Parkinson's cases are in the United States
i wonder why this is.

i remember when news of Fox's Parkinson's disease came out. it was big news and you knew it was important but seeing him in this ad you don't think that would happen until he was much older. it doesn't seem so real. you expect maybe hand movements and a few other things. things you saw with the Pope, Janet Reno and others who have Parkinson's.

but Fox's case seems mroe advanced than them. i think he was diagnosed at a pretty younger than usual age also.

our country should be leading on research to help improve the lives of people. we are a backwards nation at this time . i hope things change for the better.

17. Saw a billboard here in MO.
Edited on Sat Oct-21-06 12:01 PM by gulliver
The billboard said this (very close quote): "Your tax dollars will be used to buy eggs from poor women for human cloning." This issue is a clear loser for the GOP. Their ads and Talent (R-Evil Ernie-Bobblehead) have been reduced to defending against "cloning" and trying to duck the issue altogether.

Lately I am seeing fewer and fewer ads against stem cell research here in STL. There have been a lot of pro stem cell ads -- very good ones. I have not seen the Michael J. Fox one on TV here yet, but it is a humdinger.
