Fitrakis: OHIO VOTER PURGE - Investigation Continues - LETTERS FOUND

Fitrakis Ohio Voter Purge Investigation Continuing-- Letters Found

by Rob Kall

http://www.opednews.com

............

Two days ago, OpEdNews reported in an article,Ohio Lawsuit to Reinstate hundreds of thousands of Purged Democratic Voters to be Filed Fri or Monday that Robert Fitrakis intended to file a suit blocking inappropriate purges of young or minority voters. One blogger posted a diary disputing the voter roll purge on dailykos. The article was titled No truth to Ohio "purge" letters

............

I asked him if he agreed that there was "no truth to the Ohio Purge Letters."
He replied, "WE are not satisfied at this moment that this purging did not occur.
WE don't know yet."

Since we last spoke Fitrakis reports he has seen or had read to him letters from two different counties.

"Letters were sent out on or about August first, (in Miami county August 6th.) We talked to one person who read us the letter and told us what was in it. And we got a change of address letter that was sent about that time."

9. not sure I follow your drift.....are you okay with the dismissal of this
story?

do you trust ANYthing having to do w/Diebold/ESS?

is Fitrakis just in this for self-aggrandizement?

is he just another Bev Harris, perish the thought?

14. I wouldn't trust Diebold...
To make a toy computer for Fisher-Price. It would likely eat kids.

Fitzrakis? Perhaps. But as long as he keeps exposing stuff, he's OUR bastard. ;-)

As for Bev: There can only be one.

3. So why not err on the side of caution and get people to confirm they're
registered to vote?

16. I don't appreciate misleading titles
Read the article - it contradicts itself. There's no reason to make baseless accusations and it reduces our credibility to do so. Why cry wolf when we know the consequences?

6. It's sad we have no faith in the results of our elections
I join those who think the democrats won in 2000 and 2004 only to have the election stolen.

11. Here you are!
http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2006/10/20/4462/5193

This is more about how such a scheme might be possible, rather than how they actually DID it.

I don't know much about the letter itself; I DO, however, know about how the USPS handles the mail. That's what my diary is about, and how and why such a scheme would be feasible.

Postal employees are not at fault, here. We are just doing our jobs, and these schemes are totally transparent to us as we do our jobs. As I state explicitly in the comments, postal employees are strictly nonpartisan in our duties; we MUST be, to ensure the integrity of the US mail.

Incidentally, I have a plan to completely end questions regarding the integrity of the vote count. Here's a hint: you already use my system on a regular basis. My solution is SO obvious, nobody has ever mentioned it as a solution to the voting problems- counting the vote accurately, I mean.

Forest, for the trees. The solution to the problems we are having with our voting system is staring us all in the face. That's my hint. I'm only hinting at it because it's my solution, and I don't want to detail it too much until that solution moves from the back burner of my mind to the serving tray. :)

I'm going to diary it at Kos tomorrow and cross post it here, both before I go to work. When I realized it, I felt like I had been hit by a board to the back of my head- it was THAT obvious.

13. Seriously, my solution is SO obvious nobody's mentioned it
Edited on Sat Oct-21-06 02:52 AM by kgfnally
I mentioned it to two of my coworkers tonight; one had my reaction, the other told me to "pass it up the chain of command".

I myself was stunned when I asked myself the question. And honestly: nobody here has proposed it, but I think it's because it's THAT obvious.

Forest for trees, as I said. Let me hint further that the infrastructure for my solution is already in place, and is in fact already used by Americans... DAILY.

That's a fraking BIG hint. I can't say more. I want to sleep on it, first.

edit: look for my post both here and at Kos tomorrow, sometime before 2 PM.

I leave for work at 2:45, daily, so it will be before then.

15. I smell a rat
The original story disappeared too quickly after it was supposedly debunked. This is too important to ignore.
