And Kuo was very critical. New Rules...all I can say is I hope anyone teetering on the brink of voting red this year saw that.

But, there was a point that Jason should have stepped in, and that's when the idiot cited a TV show as justification for torture -- why oh why didn't Jason jump in and say "YOU IDIOT! of course torture works in a SCRIPTED TV show you fucking MORAN!!"

That was my one peeve, besides that asshole just spewing his garbage into everyone's mouth (which Franks called him on)

that club for growth dweeb. Bill's rant about all the neo con frauds was priceless. I hope C&L gets it or DUtube. That's one to burn and send out en masse.

9. Barney exposed him as a total fraud. Moore knew it too.
The look on Mooore's face at the program's close said it all.

My guess is that Mr. Moore won't be doing too much TV in the near future. He'll be licking his wounds at some rehab center.

Likely needs to spend more time with his family.

10. I laughed my ass off! *LoL*
Definitely one of the best shows of the year! Bill says it so well. He says it the way it needs to be said. He's a genius!

I agree with a lot of what Barney Frank stands for, and would hate to see him have to leave office, but isn't it about time he did leave? I mean, these Democrats and Republicans think they're entitled to their job in Washington until they're too old to make it to the shitter in time. Surely there are other citizens with the same core beliefs in their districts. America needs to implement term limits of these carreer politicians.

And yea, Moore was a total moron. It boggles the mind trying to figure out how these people can spew misinformation, and pure propaganda .. not exactly a 'Christian value'. They're such hypocrites, and they don't appear to know or to care.

I was sorry that Jason wasn't able to get a chance to contribute more to the conversation .. I loved what he had to share.

11. I'm from his district and as far as I am concerned
he has this job for as long as he wants it. He is always responsive when I contact him, just as interested in what's happening in the state as he is what's happening in Washington, and he speaks for honesty in government. No, it's not time for him to leave. He still has many miles to go before his journey is done.

15. Would a "new face" have done as well as Frank vs. RW spin?
Because that's what it takes in the Senate. You have to call them on it.

Franks was effective. I say he stays as long as he wants and the people keep him.

Barney was AWESOME!! and he called this bozo out so many times on the red herrings this party throws out all the time.

Remember when that asshole congresswoman Ileana whatever her last name kept saying about the Iraq war a few weeks ago, Its always a different war, a different place, a different time (not verbatim) but close enough and Bill told her to stop with the red herrings. these people are CREEPS

Kuo has shown so much courage and he is now part of the axis of evil. I applaud him for doing the right thing. Keep on talking my friend.

17. The biggest red herring that Moore threw out was the
Edited on Sat Oct-21-06 01:18 AM by stopbush
"suppose you have a terraist captured and a bomb is ticking and by torturing him you could save thousands of American lives?"

That is a false scenario. Torture is almost NEVER effective in such a short-term situation. Torture gets people to divulge information over time,
not within 30 seconds. Most ideologues will go to their deaths in the early stages. Keep them alive for a few weeks and they MAY give you
something actionable, but even that's not likely. The plain truth is that torture has NEVER been a method that extracts reliable information. It
says a lot more about the person inflicting the torture than the victim of the same.

The answer to this red herring is that it's another false choice. A tortured person might blurt something out in such a situation, but
it would most likely be a lie spouted to stop the pain, or to let the torturer hear what the victim thought he wanted to hear.

For Moore to cite the "24" TV show as a way to do things is pure bullshit. It doesn't work that way. But then, we all know that Rs don't
live in the reality based world.

You may have missed it, but Barney addressed this in a throwaway line, stating that "such a situation has never arisen." I wish he could
have gone further.

18. I couldn't help it, I kept seeing Moore as a
sniveling laughing rat. Just the way when Barney Franks would shoot him down and all he could do is snivel and laugh, then sort of a sigh...
That was very grotesque but we are talking about a R who had not the least shred of dignity.

23. I watchedthe show! It really was one of the BEST!
Barney did a terrific job, actually much better than what you usually hear on the Hosue floor. He does a good job there too, but last night he was GREAT!

Bill Mahr did agreat job too! He had a rant where he mentioned most of the Pub offences, and he was talking sooo fast, it really hadquite an impact.

Then Kuo said more derrogative things about Shrub and his admin than he did on ANY of the other interviews I've seen.

I don't know if this show reairs, but if it does,it's well worth your time to watch it!

It was hilarious. Barney told him to shut up so he just sat there and let them have at it. That freeper annoys me every time he's on the show. He has NOTHING of substance to say. Ever.

Those 3 people (Franks, Alexander, Moore) have been on his show countless times. It felt like a re-run.
