Republic senator says Bush's phony WMD intelligence made her do it
http://www.ktre.com/Global/story.asp?S=5569177&nav=2FH5

WASHINGTON U-S Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison has been one of President Bush's most ardent loyalists on the war in Iraq.

But Hutchison this week voiced her strongest criticism yet of the administration's reasons for going to war.

The remarks came in Thursday's Senate debate in San Antonio, in a forum with Democrat Barbara Radnofsky and Libertarian Scott Jameson.

Hutchison said she would not have voted for going to war had she known there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

8. I doubt common sense has returned to the herd. They are simply
looking forward to the possibility of a Democratic majority in the House and Senate. They are scared and are distancing themselves as much as possible.

These traitors must be exterminated.

10. agreed
bush MIGHT trigger a revolution, not the mob kind which seeks just to redress wrongs, but a mental one that for the first time in human history accept reponsibility for the planet, for life, and yet as idealistic as possible. 35 years ago, it really REALLY looked like the old conjob/fascism/cohersive wise guy communism, capitalism or whatever it was called, was doomed to be modernised, with history's mistakes the teacher, but look at how the liar has overturned that idea! Still, there's no way forward but to go ahead, as the saintly Che once said....

2. I wonder if Sandra Day O'Connor has had similar regrets?
Such as: If I could have forseen the dire consequences, I wouldn't have used my SC swing vote to throw the '00 presidential election to Bush. (?)

4. I don't know but they are all nervous as cats...
...in a room full of rocking chairs. Seriously. I have been watching their eyes. I see fear.

7. ahead in the polls
That seems to be the answer. I've seen a number of the rethugs that are "safe" , start to use this line. That way when it all crashes down, they have a point they can refer to.

6. oh please... more crocodile tears
while it's heartening to see more people abandon Bush...
it's also so revealing how shallow these Republicans are.
The party of greed is just that.. and only that.
Pathetic.

9. Yet I knew no such proof had been offered
If she's dumber than me, well, she doesn't deserve to make any government decisions.

11. Is she THAT worried about Radnofsky?
 Hutchinson is a pandering liar. What I wouldn't give to see her ass booted out of the Senate (Cornyn's too).

13. Last I looked, Zogby had Radnofsky down by 39%, BUT...
if kbr is now trying to weasel out of her Iraq war position because it doesn't work anymore, maybe enough smart and formerly misguided Texans will just give Barbara Ann a chance.

A guy can dream, can't he?

12. Just another Republic putting finger to the wind and changing
her stripes now that her position has gone to shit.

I so wish Radnofsky had the support to defeat that harlot kbr.

14. All that means is she's TOO FUCKING STUPID AND GULLIBLE to be a Senator.
Edited on Sat Oct-21-06 05:08 PM by TahitiNut
Sadly, I don't believe that's the entire reason. She's greedy, corrupt, and power-hungry, too. Along with her husband!

"Gee... we've murdered 655,000 innocent people without good reason? Ooops!" :grr: :grr:
