Carolyn gave $10 to the DNC because it is better to light a single candle
than to curse the darkness. Carolyn is a first-time donor to the DNC who lives on a fixed income and said she was sorry she couldn't give more but that she would rather a candle rather than curse the darkness.

Carolyn from Florida <- :applause:

Do you know how I know? I have become ADDICTED to the new DNC 'donor matching' program. My matches include a grad student, a not-for-profit org fundraiser, a printer, a person who has given to individual candidates before but hadn't given to the DNC, a DailyKos reader and several people who are working on campaigns in their area...

Elizabeth from Texas <- :applause:
Karen from New York <- :applause:
Kevin from Georgia <- :applause:
JoAnne from Kentucky <- :applause:
Phil from Pennsylvania <- :applause:
Weston from Washington <- :applause:
Jacqueline from California <- :applause:

Andrew from Illinois <- :applause:

Henry from Kansas <- :applause:

2. Question
How'd you find out so much about your "matchees"? The email I got only gave the first name, last initial, the city and state of the person I matched ($25).

3. I did it twice, and one person included a message...
...and one didn't.

It's optional for the original person and the person who matches to enter a message.

5. It is optional for them to send a note back and
optional for them to include an email address. Several did not include anything, most included a short line, others a bit more information. I kept my original message pretty generic since I had no idea who I would be matching...
