What happened with the English plane bombers?
Referring to those 10 or more Islamic English people who were rounded up for their alleged plot to blow those airliners up enroute to the US. While I watched it, the local stations for CNN mentioned that the US FBI had wanted that roundup at that time, against their own judgment. I think it was a put-up job by this Bush gang for political purposes.

1. I heard that the charges were dropped for some of them
They had no explosives and no plane tickets were purchased. Where's the case? Terra! Terra I say!

2. BS. The methods they "planned" to use would have been nearly
impossible to pull off.

This scam (the "bust") was done so that the squatter in the white house could make a lot of noise and puff his chest out like a wild animal.

3. I am a thousand
times more likely to believe the British on something like this than the Americans.

Despite everything, Britian has one of the fairest and most transparant justice systems in the world.

Comparing it to the barbarity of the US justice system is folly.

4. 17 charged, 7 released without charge

I would presume none would have got bail on terrorism charges. It will probably take at least a year, more likely two, before their trials. One man arrested in August 2004 (remember the terror alert rise during the Democratic convention?) has just pleaded guilty to conspiracy to murder; the others are expected to have their trials sometime next year.
