If a Peace March was called on Washington would you go
In the 60's I was VVAW we march on Washington 360,000 strong. How many of you would go if someone from DC called it before Nov 1st.

3. Since I just lost my day job
I'd sure as hell be tempted.

Of course, my wife might object.

October 17, 2006,Will be remembered as the Enabling day of the 21st Century!

11. If I could find someone to cover for me for a commitment that I've made
to my county party I sure as hell would! Early voting ends for us on Nov. 2nd and until then I will be at my local headquarters making phone calls to pick people up and drive them to the early voting locations to VOTE!

I attended the last huge peace march in DC, but the timing is really bad for me right now. Committed Dem voters who just need a way to get to the polls to vote is pretty important in my scheme of things. :hi:

13. We are all still so unwilling to stop this country and the money machine
The world can't wait was all about this. Realizing your power. Everyone is so scared. If everyone stops for a day, they cant do anything. Its like a massive union strike with no scabs to collect.

16. No, because there have been large demonstrations
with little or no effect. Sure it makes the marchers feel all good and groovy but really what effect do those things have? The media either ignores it or under estimates the numbers.

20. No.
That takes $$$ that I do not have.

I've been out in the streets many times, and it did NOTHING!! The M$M could care less, so what's the sound of protest occurring in the forest of the M$M when there is no video to hear?

The world-wide demonstrations before the Iraq invasion were the largest the world had ever seen. Nothing resulted.

Much better to take over your community government. Get elected! Move up the food chain.
