Nate Clay: Obamamania?
Edited on Sun Oct-22-06 12:30 AM by gumby
Hey Nate, I'd like Obama to say that he'd be happy to run as VP on a ticket with President Gore. There ya go.

edit: Nate Clay, http://wlsam.com
good listening.

1. Oh My God!!! Obama's The Greatest!!!
I want to have his child - right after I have The Big Dawg's child!!!

(Can anyone tell me why I should like Obama? He's a good speaker, but - maybe I just happen to catch him on off days, but he always seems to give the standard "poverty bad, education good" speech.)

2. he doesn't do much for me...he was less than brilliant on Olbermann
last night....WAY too many ''uh''s, to the point of it being a serious problem in off the cuff situtations.

and his positions are bland, to say the least.

that said, if My Friend Flicka has the poll numbers for 2008, I say run, Flicka, fun

If he's the one that can win, fine. I really don't care who it is, because we will NOT survive as a nation with another fascist in office for four/eight more years

bad as most leading candidates are, they aren't in the ballpark in comparison to Giuliani, McCain, or whichever outlier you choose.

3. Giuliani and McCain are both media creations.
The M$M simply luv to turn on their own creations. It's that authoritan thing I just read about by John Dean.

The authoritarians actually loathe those whom they manipulate. This is a Must Read http://smirkingchimp.com/thread/2030

4. Bush was THE media creation of all time. have they begun to
turn on him?

I sincerely hope you're right, but those two are untouchable so far.

5. btw...the all-time BEST caller on Clay's show, Chet, is on now
Edited on Sun Oct-22-06 02:45 AM by Gabi Hayes
he always has a valuable contribution, and is very well informed.

he made the excellent point that Obama doesn't fit the mold that oldtime racists seize upon: he doesn't conjur images of the easy to hate Jesse Jacksons, Sharptons, etc,

that, to me, is the major stumbling block to a successful Obama candidacy. again, if the polls (unfortunately, that's the holy grail for the men with the money) show that he's got the best chance to win, more power to him.

I don't like it, but that's the way it is.

I'm voting Green party for state offices in Illinois, btw. that's the only way a representative entity is ever going to develop in this political climate. whether we have the time it'll take is open to question.

6. Yeah, that's Obama's strong point....
He's NOT Jessie Jackson. How wacked is that?

Voting Green is safe in your state. The rest of us have to fend off the radical right the best we can.
