and fail to filibuster Alito, we can't let these rat bastards walk away with OUR country.
We still have Gore, Edwards, Clark, and Dean. A goddamned "third-party" is what began this 5-tear long nightmare, IMHO.
We are DEMOCRATS and we are the TRUE patriots in this country:
WE want EVERY vote to count.
WE do not want to have our Constitutional rights usurped.
WE do not want our Country to be sold, piece by piece to the highest bidder.
WE look to protect the poor, the sick and the weak.
WE believe that education is more important than fighting perpetual and illegal wars.

If WE don't save this Country, who will? I have two little boys, I can't afford to stop fighting (and hoping).
Let's try to believe that those whom we have legitimately elected will do the right thing regarding Alito; and if they don't....
I'll only fight harder.

1. I think they should fillibuster, BUT...
I also have no doubt that the media will help the repubs use it as a bludgeoning tool in the November elections. It will help the right motivate and rally their based and it will cause us to lose seats in both the house and the senate. Not because moderates will be turned off by it, but because it will motivate and rally the repubs to get out their vote while it will only have a minimal impact on democratic voters.

I think the more important thing that the dems needed to do was to show and convince the American public that Alito was an extremist and would overturn Roe V. Wade, and that we failed to do that. I think our side didn't run enough ads, I think the main dem senators doing the questioning did either a lukewarm sloppy job (Kennedy) or a piss poor job focusing on their own grandstanding(Biden). So I think we missed our first, best opportunity.

I still think we need to stop him and fillibuster him, but come that Wednesday in November after the elections I'll be willing to admit that the fillibuster played a part in it rather than wringing my hands and blaming it on other factors

3. Well, if they DON'T filibuster, they have effectively neutered themselves
Let the Rupukes go 'nuclear'...shut the MoFo down. If the minority party has no voice, it isn't a legitimate Democracy any longer, anyway.

4. wrong...no way in hell could gopers rally support enough to
win an election. It wasn't voters that swung the 2004,2002,and 2000 elections it was massive theft of the democratic vote. Read the GAO report. 2004 A Stolen Election. Now with Diabolical Deibold being reigned in in some states I can't see another loss for us. Another thing, spineless Dem's in DC gave scumbag bush pryor, owens and brown roberts too...enough.
KEEP CALLING AND TELL THE DEMS WE DON'T SUPPORT alito BECAUSE HE SUPPORTS THE STRIP SEARCHING OF 10 YEAR OLD GIRLS CANT HAVE A PERVERT SUPPORTING JUDGE ON THE SUPREME COURT..

5. This is kind of what I mean...
No matter what we do there's going to be a large group of people who will blame everything on election fraud rather than the remote possibility that there may be other issues or missteps.

In other words, when Dems don't do what we want them to and lose, we blame it on them being spineless cowards.

When Dems do what we want them to and still lose, we blame it on election fraud.

So I'm not sure what the solution is.

6. Alito or some likeness will get in. Because not enough Americans
voted to give Dems power. The cause of all this is "how Americans vote". Nothing else.
