Bush will announce Iraq time table before the election.
I believe he will do this in a last ditch effort to win next month. When was the last time anyone saw him working at the WH on a Saturday? I just hope the voters see this for what it is before voting.

1. Is this a news story, or are you speculation that he will announce...
...an Iraq timetable?

U.S. to Hand Iraq a New Timetable on Security Role
WASHINGTON, Oct. 21 — The Bush administration is drafting a timetable for the Iraqi government to address sectarian divisions and assume a larger role in securing the country, senior American officials said.

2. If they don't see it for what it is before, they will AFTER the election
He'll backpeddle and make excuses for not keeping his promises, as always.

17. Well yes, but that danger always exists
Stupid is as stupid does. The only ones who can really do anything about it are the DEMS, since they have the mic and the ads running on tv. They really could make hay of it, if they're willing.

13. Bush has no fugging credibility
The love affair is over - too much fugging domestic and foreign abuse. At some point the most stupid people realize who the real terrorist is in a relationship and all the threats of terra cannot stop the abused from leaving. Fugg Bush.

14. It would not help him. His credibility is gone.
Only the kool-aid drinkers still pay attention to him.

In addition, he just told the Iraq PM that there would be no timetable, so it would be obvious it's nothing but an election BS ploy.

16. The photo op
The published photo-op of bsh "consulting" with his two uniformed post-purge pod-boys probably means we'll soon be treated to an announcement of some shiny new rationalization and strategy shot through with the usual patriotic green ooze, Amerikan triumphalism, and (can't forget) terror - all scheduled to be forgotten, of course, immediately following the election.

...And even if they do go as far as staging some kind of a "scheduled" withdrawal, it'll likely amount to little more than a redistribution of resources to accomplish the same elusive outcome they've been hankering for.

Whatever that is.

He will say they have been conducting secret meeting with the "insurgents" and they have surrendered. That the war is over but we will keep troops there to help feed the little puppies and kittens that the little children will have. But "Mission Accomplished" will be once again proclaimed until at least November 8th...Then those nasty bad guys went back on their word...
