The little State of Vermont.... |
|
has lost another citizen soldier in Iraq. A press conference by Vt National Guard officials is scheduled for 9AM. Our little state has lost more soldiers, per capita, than any other state and includes my godson who was the 5th Green Mountain Boy to die in this horrific war. I was hoping he would be the last but we are now up to 23 and the insanity continues!!
WE HAVE GIVEN ENOUGH!!!

What was his name? I hate that we've lost yet another. Wish we could stop the guard from being activated.

I remember reading about him and his mother. Also saw a lovely letter he wrote home. As I recall, his wife lives in VA. He sounded like a remarkable man.

:( I grew up in Vermont and lived there until a few years ago. All of my family is still there (we own a farm in the Quechee Lakes area).
Godspeed

Hey, what's the big deal? There's more murders per year in Washington D.C. than military deaths in Iraq.
You should take solace in the fact that the death of your Godson is considered NO BIG DEAL by the people that decided to prosecute this "war".
At least his death was for a good, albeit ever-changing, cause.

facetiously, I'm truly sorry for your loss
