the "other" guys are winning
Those bad guys who did not greet us with roses but cried when we bombed the fuck out of their beautiful country. Those terrorist/insurgent/pseudo gorilla rebels who hate our freedom more than they love their lives - those guys are winning.

Illegal invasion/occupation of a sovereign nation posing no threat to our security ending in defeat and shame.

I wear the shame, we all wear the shame. We are Americans. The defeat belongs to the arrogant stupids so drunken by their own power. They never made a plan "B". That WAS their formula for getting what they wanted. No doubts, just bomb the crap out of the peasants till they're shell shocked, tell them they're free now to watch as we take their assets or we send them to Abu Graib. It's a slam dunk.

2. Endorsement
Edited on Sun Oct-22-06 11:54 AM by kristendom
For the last election I endorsed the Democrats with passion and they lost. Let me now endorse the Republicans with the same passion. Let me give you some reasons why: (1) Federal spending is just honky-dory (2) No one remembers Katrina anymore (3)Oil revenue from Iraq is paying for the war (3) The American people rewards incompetence (4) the occupation of Iraq
is a success (sectarian violence is not civil war) (5) Gay marriage and torture no longer matter.
But since elections aren't won on just wishful thinking, let me give you some hard facts: Rumsfeldt's shock and awe surgical bombs have only killed 655,000 Iraqis. Not only that, it totally cured the country's social security debt; in that, the retirees are all dead by now.

3. Family Values--Whose Values?
Edited on Sun Oct-22-06 11:48 AM by kristendom
That Speaker of the House Hastert protected Mark Foley (former chairman of the Missing and Exploited Children's Caucus, now under suspicion of pedophilia) for years there can be no doubt now. President Bush is supporting Hastert and his "family values." Now it turns out that Ralph Reed (former leader of the Christian Coalition) and Jack Abramoff were as tight as two coats of paint. And so was Karl Rove, who initially said Abramoff was only an acquaintance: the fact is they had 446 contacts at the White House. What of Bob Ney? Let's not go there.
While these individuals vilify and demonize gays, unbeknownst to the public at large are their own closeted shenanigans. At least Senator McCain and Mayor Giuliani are straight shooters. Or they appear to be. But For Senator McCain to come out with revisionist history and blame the Clinton administration for the fiasco with North Korea, makes one wonder if he is just like other unclean politicians. With all the lies, denials, and cover-ups, by two-faced politicians, wouldn't it be more acceptable for the country to elect plain-talking but truthful right-wing xenophobes?
