I dropped 1000 pieces of campaign lit for my candidate this weekend
(Bryan Kennedy WI-5) and my volunteers dropped another 4000...

In the suburbs, in the country, and in the middle of nowhere, Wisconsin. Purple America.

Sensenbrenner, we're gonna kick your ass November 7.

6. I'm not a "sir"!
Bryan's campaign staff are twenty-somethings but I and every single one of my volunteers is older than Bryan (36)... I think that's the way its been for a lot of campaigns this season.

People with kids the right age should volunteer and take them along, get them to think its more fun than trick or treating!

25. I was on a panel once, speaking about hunger with him
It was years before he was elected to the senate. 20 years later we met again at a dinner, and he remembered me. It was quite impressive, and a great honor. He was an amazing man and continues to be an inspiration to me whenever I need that reminder of why I knock on doors for good candidates----sometimes they win!

10. When Bryan Kennedy wins this election
and sends Sensenbrenner off to whatever he has planned next (probably a nice lobbying job), he will owe a great debt of gratitude to undeterred. She has been plowing straight ahead for months, working incredibly hard on everything that needs doing, keeping the faith. :applause:

18. I did it all with my dog in the backseat.
He likes going with, and especially going out in the country where the smells are different and dogs sometimes chase the car.

19. My ankle sympathizes with yours
I just cannot do canvassing or protests any more. It's frustrating, but I can still phone bank!

21. I've dropped about 10k pieces of lit
and made a few thousand phone bank calls for Dennis Spivack (DE-At Large District), TOM Carper, and a bunch of local Dem candidates. Also stuffed envelopes and did data entry. I put in about 30 hours a week for the last 6 weeks, unpaid. But then, I don't have a job (all the real jobs have been outsourced to China), so I might as well do something productive with my time. Like get rid of these assclown Republicans.

There is so much to do and it gets rid of a lot of my political angst to know that all my energy is going toward Repuke Removal.

23. I was out today, in the Philly suburbs.
I kept running into other canvassers for Democratic candidates or progressive groups, and nearly every door I knocked already had some Democratic candidate's literature stuck in it. I didn't see hide nor hair of any Repub canvassers or literature.

The Repubs are mailing and phoning heavily but, as far as I can see, no one around here is getting any face to face contact with their supporters.
