I can't watch local TV until after the elections...
I live in the reddist of the red... Alabama.

They sling the word LIBERAL as if it were synonymous (they wouldn't know that word) with Satanic, Evil, Homicidal and Theif.

These fuckers are pitching as if they thought their audience had an IQ of 12.

And unfortunately, the active base here fits.

And if you diss the South in this and don't live here....

I'll go James Dickey on your ass!

1. I didn't watch the news
for at least one year after the elections of 2004, so I hear ya. I just scrunch my face in disgust when the word republican is used in public.

2. I can't even listen to local RADIO right now
Except for KXCI. Everywhere else here in Tucson, the radio ads are constantly going on about the immigration "INVASION". Invasion, invasion, invasion, they keep saying. Invasion of illegal immigrants coming into our state to steal our jobs!

Ok, let's not talk about how many of our jobs are already being shipped out of our state.

3. A new Iron Curtain, this time in America
wasn't it a famous Republican who called for them to tear down the Iron Curtain in Europe. Now the same damn group want to build a "NEW IRON CURTAIN" across North America.

5. listen to BBC radio online much better
to begin to understand how the world works, DONT watch US news

I heard CNN anchor on phone w a man in Pakistan saying to him "oh you there in the middle east.." !
Wolf Blitzer was a super cheerleader for iraq invasion
it's garbage in garbage out

radio news from UK ( reliable, the world standard ) allows you to do other stuff, not as idiotmaking, not as couch potatoe producing as tv watching, it is less parochial of course, you get analysis not just sound bites and sensationalism-- far superior to our t.v news

6. Pretty bad in formerly true blue now "battle ground" Minnesota
Nasty ads that are not even run by the Republican candidates but by the RNC. Yes, slinging the world liberal that my spouse even asked when did the word liberal turned into a derogatory term. (We can thank Roger Ailes and Lee Atwater for that).
