Let the second American Revolution begin!
If you have a child in school come home after studying the amendments to our US Constitution and asks: Why is Bush allowed to break the fourth amendment?

What do you say to your child?

Do you say, well some are allowed to break the law and some are not.

What lesson do we teach our children since they are our future?

At the end of Mr. Gore’s speech he quotes Dr. King: "Perhaps a new spirit is rising among us. If it is, let us trace its movements and pray that our own inner being may be sensitive to its guidance, for we are deeply in need of a new way beyond the darkness that seems so close around us."...

I think that the gist of Mr. Gore’s speech was our own active participation in our own republic where he said: "We have a duty as Americans to defend our citizens’ right not only to life but also to liberty and the pursuit of happiness. It is therefore vital in our current circumstances that immediate steps be taken to safeguard our Constitution against the present danger posed by the intrusive overreaching on the part of the Executive Branch and the president’s apparent belief that he need not live under the rule of law." This does not only apply to the Constitution, but other matters that do concern us and the only way is for every single citizen of this country to keep pressure on our elected officials in Washington, D.C. to make sure that they are indeed the checks and balances that this country was framed upon. I would also invite citizens from around the globe to do the same so that your voice is heard and where you think America is wrong in any decision that goes against your best interest.

If you truly want to take part in restoring America to its former glory, here is a useful tool that includes the phone numbers, fax numbers and email addresses of every single elected official in Washington D.C.

Tell these elected officials in Washington, D.C. that they work for you and not the other way around. If you are not a United States citizen and feel angry when you are expected to follow a set of rules handed down by the Bush administration, call one of these elected officials and tell them, you do not listen to law breakers.

1. We have a President who thinks he's above the law
No surprise, since he broke the law to get there anyway.

3. fifth or sixth, maybe even the seventh, actually.
Going backwards:

our current one which is just about to begin

the Newt revolution - which set the framework and events into motion which led us to this fucked up situation

the 60s - a major change - it destroyed the Beaver Cleaver 50s puritanical fanaticism which so corroded the brain cells of rational people.

the 30s - Never discount the FDR revolution and why he won four elections. Evil financial and rail and energy companies truly controlled the legislation, trade and economics. Their self-serving approach screwed the little guy and made them super rich. (does that sound familiar?)

1860s - a most uncivil war, with slavery being eradicated as a result. Clearly a revolutionary event.

My US history gets squishy from 1800 to 1850, but some major events certainly took place there.

the dropping of the articles of confederation and replacing it with today's US Constitution. Clearly a second revolution, mostly bloodless, after we kicked out the brit landlords.
