Is there something we can do?

What if we all (or most of us) agreed to some kind of plan of action. I remember when the Freepers organized an event to honor the Clinton impeachment scum. It was very smart of them.

If we can't organize an event, maybe we could pledge that for the month of February we would donate only to MoveOn? Or maybe we could divide into two groups, one that writes letters and the other that prints and mails them to newspapers and politicians? Could we agree on one event in the activist forum to provide financial support for? Could we target a specific right-winger like Santorum in some way? Could we raise money and get permission to run this (or a modified version) somewhere?

I'm not saying my ideas are particularly good, but does anyone have any idea on how to tap into the potential that DU has? Is there anything we could do that would make it easy for everyone -- not just the real activists -- to participate? I would think it needs to be something center left to appeal to the majority of DUers. Has this been tried before? Is it being tried now, and I just can't find it on DU?
