Freeper's heads EXPLODE at Bush's "PATHETIC" performance today

Some excerpts:

Question: Hamas victory.

President: Peace is never dead. A two state solution - vision for people to work toward. Democracy means peace. The Palestinians had an election yesterday, the results of which remind me about the power of democracy.

Oh, I have to stop.

This press conference is weak. My goodness. With what's going on in Israel right now.... Sheesh. The President is okay with Hamas taking over? It sounds like that's the case. A peaceful process? WTF?

First question on Palestinian elections: "Democracy provides a look into society. If people are unhappy with the status quo, they will let you know. People are demanding honest government."
Has he been informed that Hamas won??

I think the State Dept. has a culture of Arabism, that Bush is very close to Condi, that we are dependent on Arab oil, and that those unfortunate realities have caused the Bush to equivocate on his terrorism stance.
His blathering at the moment is pretty ridiculous...as much as I hate to admit it.

"what do you expect him to say...."

Well, something informed. It sounds like he hasn't been updated in at least 24 hours.

I had to stop transcribing because it's insanity, imo. I'm going to get slammed but this is nuts. The biggest terrorist organization in the world just won an election next door to our ally and we're talking about democracy???

Looks like a recipe for disaster to me...
We rail against Iran, but make room for Hamas. D'oh...

Bush is not good in this type of setting at all. I wish he went back to the days where he did few unscripted press events.

13. I could not get the front page of the NYTimes straight today
They had a picture of Bush with this caption: "President Bush said the results of the Palestinian elections should serve as a wakeup call for the previous leadership."

But the headlines were that Hamas had won a major victory.

WTF?

Did Bush not know who won? Does he support Hamas? Does he support Democracy even if it elects Hamas? or Hitler? or Saddam? (yeah, they had "elections" too.)

I'm lost on this one.
