I'll make a deal with the PR branch of the White House:
As soon as your administration begins constitutionally guaranteed oversight of the spying (court approval of warrants and adequate congressional briefing, including classified details) I will grant you the privilege of calling your program whatever you want. Until then, I have the obligation as a patriot to protect my fellow Americans and the Constitution, and I will assume that you're spying, and I will oppose your secrecy. I may not have security clearance or standing to be privy to the details, but that's why I rely on the machinations of our nation's highest laws. Being an American means not having to believe my government when it says "trust me." A president with my safety in mind would understand that checks and balances are not inconvenient -- they're the Constitution's version of "trust me."

If it walks like an illegal domestic wiretap and sounds like an illegal domestic wiretap...
