Typical. Allen did the same thing. Look where it got him.

Wyo. candidate apologizes for remark

CHEYENNE, Wyo. - Rep. Barbara Cubin (news, bio, voting record), a Republican seeking re-election in a close race for Wyoming's only House seat, publicly apologized Tuesday for a comment she made to a disabled opponent after a testy debate.

Thomas Rankin, a Libertarian candidate who has multiple sclerosis and uses an electric wheelchair, said that after the debate Sunday night, Cubin "walked over to me and said, 'If you weren't sitting in that chair, I'd slap you across the face.'"

In a telephone interview Tuesday, Cubin said: "It was person to person and it was not an attack on the disabled. In retrospect, I was wrong in what I said and I apologize."

Rankin said that Cubin had not apologized to him personally and that he still considered it an "open issue" until she did so.

4. Considering most people who vote GOP have a mental disability
she should have known better to be more respectful to someone in a wheel chair.

5. I don't see how this has anything to do with his disability.
She said "if you weren't in the chair", so she was at least acknowleging he was in the chair, it's not like she really smacked,

if he said what it sounded like he said (and his childish behavior considering this an "open issue" only confirms my suspicion), I could have easily said I'd slap him if he weren't in the chair.

This is so childish.

8. Can't let anything get in the way of an anti-Libertarian axe to grind, eh?
It doesn't matter what party she was, or he was. She owes him a direct apology.
