5. Republicans were ugly and bitchy |

Dems were funny and adorable. That about sums it up.
Seriously, Boortz was a complete asshole. His banter consisted mostly of, "Will you let me finish?" and "Oh, sure. You liberals blah blah blah...!" The other guy (Jack? John?) was sort of just hanging around trying to look like he belonged. JackJohn tried to gloss over Limbaugh's idiotic comment about Michael J. Fox by saying that Fox did well on some TV show and looked fine. Larry King said he worked on the same show with Fox and that it took a very long time to film Fox's segments because of his advanced Parkinson's. Larry was having none of it and JackJohn immediately shut his cakehole.
Ed was a little abrasive and interrupted a lot which made me smile. He and Boortz did agree on the need for stem cell research and Boortz - to his credit - took up for Michael J. Fox.
Steph was pretty and funny, which made Boortz seem even nastier than usual, if that's possible. She made the point about the voting machines that they were easily hacked and that, in fact, one had been hacked while a Diebold stooge was droning on about how unhackable they were. The two Republican spokesholes kept yammering about "conspiracy nuts" and both ended by saying that the Republicans will keep both houses of Congress and the Dems will follow with cries of election fraud.
Something struck me with profound dread near the end of the show. Both of the Republican spinmeisters had met with Bush just today. Sounds like they're getting their talking points ready for when the Repubs steal the next election.

6. Thanks Spiff that sounds like a pretty good summary |
|
I've never listened to Boortz except for sound bites and figured he'd be an asshole. Ten minutes of listening to Sgt. Schultz told me this guy is a poser, he's as progressive as my hemmoroids. I share your dread, these next two weeks are going to be the toughest in the last six years.
