Bill O'Reilly hosted potential '08 presidential candidate Wesley Clark on The O'Reilly Factor Tuesday evening.

Repeatedly raising his voice and talking over the former NATO Supreme Allied Commander of Europe, O'Reilly dismissed Clark's contention that talking with America's adversaries, especially Iran, was preferential to military action.

"Iran wants to cause trouble for the USA, it wants to weaken us, it's part of the worldwide jihad, it wants to kill every Jew on the planet... I don't have any confidence that they're going to do anything," said O'Reilly, who continued, "I'm not opposed to chatting, I just don't know if it's going to do any good." Clark responded firmly, "I call it diplomacy, not chatting."

O'Reilly and Clark also got into a exchange about the role of George Soros in the election; Clark is allied with Soros, while O'Reilly called him a "far-left bomb thrower" and "a bad guy."

2. I believe the General gets a great deal of satisfaction
just sitting calmly and letting the ignorant trash make fun an ass of himself. Oreilly doesn't know a fucking thing about Iran or Soros and certainly nothing about diplomacy. He only knows there are millions of ignorant bastards in this country who will ensure his livelihood.

Negotiate until the cows come home then start all over again.

3. O'Lielly is just stupid. How can people not see this?
Even Freepers, who seem to agree with all the shit that comes out of his mouth, should be able to tell that a pissy pundit doesn't know jack squat about diplomacy when compared to a former NATO Allied Supreme Commander.

I mean - COME ON! :eyes:

4. I'm sure that "Culture Warrior" B.S. O'Lielly tried to portray himself
as more patriotic and more courageous than Clark ...

5. Had to turn it off when it got to
"far-left bomb thrower". Jeebus...

BTW - Wes was my man in the run-up to 2004 & I hope he may be again in some capacity.

Obviously his combate "experience" is far superior to Wes Clark's. :sarcasm: It's not like he's a general or anything!

8. Glad to see this report. Can't watch the video, though.
You've got a stronger constitution than I have; I can't stomach watching O'Reilly even to see him get spanked. Must have been a beautiful thing to see.

Thanks for the report. :)

11. Clark has more poise in his little finger
I say - Moving lips to keep from shooting guns is a better policy at this point.

13. I think that BO feeds hate that people have
He gives them talking points albeit weak ones.

Having Clark on his program can peel voters away from the GOP. I believe that some people would want to relate to an experienced military person than someone who just moves his lips for a living.

15. Speaking of O'Rielly... he thinks Bush is like Lincoln....
My local rag (newspaper) prints about 5 different right-wing columns per week.

Today Shill O'Lielly had his turn, and my god...

He is actually saying that Bush is like Lincoln during the battle of Gettysburg....

He uses the phrase Bush Haters about a dozen times to describe anyone that thinks Iraq was the wrong war to fight.

Ugh, reading it just made me furious...
