GOP digging it's own grave...
Bush and the GOP message has fallen flat on America.

They are finished.

From what I have seen across the boards there is a huge push by not only the rank file Democrats but independants, moderates and traditional conservatives to make sure that the current Republican party is destroyed.

I welcome that, and I welcome all of those former republican voters....

It is really nice to have you on our side and hearing the truth for a change.

Lets hope that we can really make a postitive difference in America by rejecting the policies and governance of fear and greed.

Lets not just win. Lets marginalize the Republican party and welcome liberal, progressive, moderate and traditional fiscal conservative voices back, working together in our government again.

The "Contract On America" has been ripped up.

4. I hope the Elections are not rigged...
I know some are but the extent to which the GOP has rigged them is not completely clear.

I think that an attempt to steal elections by the GOP will result in riots.

2. Not yet it hasn't.
I'm cautiously optimistic about the upcoming midterms, and that's where I'll stay. In the meantime, I'll continue working for the dem candidate, to ensure that Bernie's House seat is passed onto a liberal.

3. Reminds me of Goldwater in '64
They moved so far to the right that they fell of the edge of the Earth.

10. I don't necessarily agree
My thought are it isn't because of the Democrats, but because of the abuse of power and corruption of the Republicans.

Goldwater was never as far right as what this administration is putting us through now.

Johnson portrayed Goldwater as wanting to start WWIII, and expand Viet Nam. The ironic thing is most of the blood of Viet Nam is on Johnson's hands

7. So much for the "genius" of Karl Rove.
Drive off the traditional Republican base and replace it with neo-con crazies and the religiously retarded.

8. The only way we will win is if people vote in force
if there are typical 20% voting turnout, I wouldn't count on winning

For some time many people have thought voting wasn't important in the U.S.

Most countries have in excess of 60% voting turnout, we are luckey to get 20%

9. Don't write off the GOP just yet or think they are finished.
Americans are not head over heels in love with the Democrats as much as they are pissed with the Republicans.
