I believe Limpballs' big stupid mouth-- mocking a very sympathetic, well-liked person who suffers from a terrible illness that many Americans have personal experience with-- will do more to keep moderate Americans from voting Republican this Novemebr, than almost any of the Republican scandals, with the exception of Foleygate.
Is this an overstatement? The MSM keeps playing the clip of Limpballs shakng around in his chair, imitating poor Michael J. Fox... truly disgusting in a completely non-partisan way.
Is the DNC writing checks to that nitwit?

1. I'd rather the MSM replay Bush saying he never said "stay the course" |
|
followed with all the clips of all the hundreds of times he has said it.

2. I'm following the controversy, but don't have cable.... question: |
|
I'm curious: how did they get video of Limpballs doing his broadcast and immitating Fox? I haven't seen it, but can only imagine how disgusting he would have been. Do they netcast his show as well?
And, yes, if his audience has any remaining humanity, there should be major backlash...

3. Nah, the rethugs will just point out the fact that Michael is not American. |
|
He's Canadian.
Americans love to claim famous people as their own (Bob Hope, etc). That is, until said famous person does/says something they don't like.
Then suddenly it's demonization and shut-your-mouth-you're-not-really-American-you've-no-right-to-speak time.

14. Fox has been an American citizen since 2000. |

Of course, facts have no place in the GOP.

You know the rightwingnuts will use that to denounce Fox as being a "not real" American. A mob who denigrates war veterans' Purple Hearts are so low that nothing whatsoever else is too low for them.

5. I pointed out to a Repub friend of mine that Limbaugh represents |
|
her political side of the aisle, after this Michael J. Fox debacle.
She said, "No he doesn't."
And I pressed on, telling her to look at all the people who represent her side of politics--and decide why she still wants to identify as Republican.
She's a good person and I think she's starting to really get fed up with the hatefulness of the Republican party.

I'm betting there are at least a few in his listening audience that are afflicted with MJF's disease, or know someone who is.

just doesn't pass the common sense test with most decent people. I'm hopeful that this debacle is good for at least a few percentage points in key races. Disability advocacy groups are certainly energized this week.
Here's my wish a)take the House b)dump this offensive loudmouth c)take back the White House

9. This is backfiring on the repukes big time! |
|
If that asswipe hadn't made his hateful comments, I don't think many people would have seen the Michael J. Fox ads. As it is now, everyone has seen them and those I've talked to...dem and repub...are disgusted with limpballs. I don't know if it will keep anyone from voting for repukes..but, it can't hurt! I'm only sorry Michael J. Fox has had to endure this right wing crap!

12. Why the slam on the DNC?? |
|
You said:
Is the DNC writing checks to that nitwit?
Why would you infer that the DNC is supportting Limbaugh with checks? Do you have any proof of this assertion?

It's a joke as in, let's send money to people like Limbaugh and Coulter to keep them in the public eye because they cause more damage to their side than the DNC could.

It's not much of a story outside of political circles. The story will be gone pretty soon. And there are more important issues to deal with.

|
Middle America LOVES Michael J. Fox, And this bullshit did NOT sit well with them. LimpThrall really put his foot in it this time.
This is exactly the type of thing that will actually snap a few of his listeners out of their trance. Make them take a step back and look at exactly WHAT they've been nodding along to and 'dittoing' for so long.
This is the sort of thing that poisons his own well. Every time he mocks ANYONE from now on, it'll bring the FoxMocking back to mind.
