My RW Brother in law "* blaming democrats isn't selling well down here" |
|
in Florida. He's a retired Col. 30 years of service and a republican, he lives in a community in Fl thats right near the Georgia border, lots of retired military folks there and he said "Everyone is sick to death of him and his followers" I take this as good news, he said in his neighborhood there are actually lawn signs up for democrats.

6. He doesn't have much to say on him one way or the other, my BIL |
|
made a deal after 2004 not to talk politics again, we agreed to disagree with each other and that was that, his son, my nephew was sent back to Iraq for a second time and something changed for him and all of a sudden he seems to have decided he's mad as hell. He does think Katherine Harris is clinically insane.

7. I went to do a photo essay in a small central Texas town the other day... |
|
I saw tons of signs for Chris Bell and Donna Howard. No republican candidate signs at all. No dubya stickers either.

they would send to replace him. Someone somewhere between Cromwell and Jabba the Hutt, I imagine.

11. I'm hoping these tactics backfire in Central FL as well... |

I submitted this to the local paper today. We'll see if they actually use it (without butchering it too badly.)
_____________________________
Dave Weldon’s recent campaign mailer is an astounding piece of cognitive dissonance. He asks if we need one reason to vote for him and offers four. His four reasons are unflattering pictures of Democrats with captions illustrating his irrational fear and hatred of liberals. Not a word is said about how he can best serve our interests.
He uses the word “liberal” as an insult, ridicules legitimate questions and blames the political left for our problems. He actually expects us to swallow this ploy when the GOP has controlled all three branches of the federal government for six years.
The problem isn’t liberals or conservatives Mr. Weldon. The problem is politicians who care about perpetuating their own power at the expense of creative problem solving and statesmanship.
We need leaders who understand the spiritual needs of our community. Leaders who feed that hunger with calls for social justice and realistic programs for repairing the life support system we call Earth. Instead Mr. Weldon force-feeds us the junk food of inane talking points and fear mongering.
Mr. Weldon’s campaign tactics and voting record have provided me far more than four reasons to vote for Dr. Bob Bowman.

You nailed his tactics. He's been living in the echo chamber.
" 'Liberal' is an insult because we said so!"

My retired Army Reserves/State Police father voted for the Demo candidates all down the ballot.
Everyone thinks it's gone "too far".

14. My brother finally listened to me a while back and stopped sending |
|
me RW e-mails ... so I don't know if he's coming around to "buyer's remorse" ... I'd like to know, but I prefer being on good terms with my family (instead of scoring political points) ... 'sides, I'd like to get to know my niece instead of never seeing her again due to "politics" interfering with family ...

http://iava.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2089&Itemid=221Who Supports The Troops? 'The IAVA is a nonpartisan organization. That the results -- who supports the troops, and who doesn't -- are so strikingly partisan is another demonstration of Republicans talking the talk, and the Democrats walking the walk.'
