Rapture Ready wackos are speculating on the rapture
happening before the 2008 election. Wouldn't that be nice? Maybe all the Repubs will be raptured.

1. That would certainly suppress turnout...
...on their side. Hell, let's have the Rapture during the next couple of weeks.

6. Yeah, same here. I'm in Cherokee County, Georgia.
It's 100% Republican. There aren't even any Democrats in any county office.

4. Republicans won't be raptured.
God doesn't want hateful, bigoted, close-minded, judgmental freaks. His Son keeps trying to explain to these people that He's the Prince of Peace. He keeps trying to get them to read the Sermon on the Mount. But they keep supporting unnecessary wars, judging people in God's name (without His blessing) and hating entire groups of people because of their religion/ideology/skin color/sexual orientation, etc.

If anything, most Democrats will be Raptured (if one is to believe how it works) and the Republicans will be Left Behind to try to explain things to their bewildered followers.

7. Bush won't set a date certain for Iraq withdrawal and the Fundies can't
decide on a date for the Rapture.

These Republicans can't plan worth shit, can they?

9. I suggested staging fake Raptures to freak-out the fundies
Leave piles of clothes scattered randomly around, all over the place, as if people were Raptured out of their clothes and into heaven.

Bonus points for making it look like it happened right in front of their eyes.

Whatever you do, don't say, "Well, since The Rapture is happening anyway, can I have your credit cards?"

10. And they've always been wrong
1 Corinthians chapter five I believe is where it states that we shouldn't worry about the end times and that it will come like a thief in the night.

11. raptured co-worker
first he tells me we are all going to die if the DEMS take over

then he tell's me he prays for the rapture and republicans..

ooooo-kaaaaaaaaaaayyy..

so I say - if we are all going to die WHEN the Dems take over, why isn't he voting DEM. Seems to me if the repubs stay in power, that they are actually working against God's will in delaying the rapture, whereas the DEMS are working towards it..

with eyes glazed of he walks away...
