Serious question - Is Rita Cosby's voice getting worse?

Personally, I can't stand to listen to her. I hit the mute button or change channels when she comes on. I used to like to watch MSNBC while I was eating lunch, but since she has taken over that slot, I can't anymore (okay, I know I'm shallow)

to watch a porno while she's on TV.

It takes the edge off her.

In an email response to a viewer, he said that Rita was "nice," but "dumb as a suitcase full of rocks." He later apologized for saying that. You know what her response was? "Keith got it wrong. I'm not that nice."

4. I think the peroxide she uses on her hair

to get that unnatural yellow brassy blond look may be damaging her vocal cords.

She also ramps up the 'breathyness' for certain stories, usually the ones with high fluff content. I think she gets off on it.


I can't watch her anymore, it's like watching really bad porn.

on edit: have you noticed that when she is 'out in the field' and doing her own hair, her bangs get hair-sprayed higher and higher? She so needs a professional stylist with her at all times to keep her from doing her own hair.

5. I try not to listen to her. It reminds me of

the episode on Seinfeld where Kramer goes into fits when he hears Mary Hart's voice. I know Rita can't help it but I do not have to listen to her.
