OK, Hillary hold-outs: Now you have Dick Cheney on your side
Edited on Wed Oct-25-06 01:20 PM by Ian_rd
It has long been my belief that the Republican Party's best hope for victory in 2008 is a Hillary Clinton nomination. They know it, and you should know it too. For the past 14 years, the Right has turned Hillary Clinton into the earthly incarnation of Satan in the minds of millions of Americans, creating a substantial percentage of voters who are completely and totally incapable of considering her policy positions with rational thought (which suck in my opinion, anyway) or anything else that could potentially lead to voting for her. Accept it: Hillary means Defeat in '08.

Cheney: Hillary Could Win In '08
VP Calls Clinton 'Formidable'; Thinks Obama Is 'Attractive,' But Inexperienced

(AP) Vice President Dick Cheney said Tuesday he thinks Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton could win the presidency. He said voters might view Sen. Barack Obama as too inexperienced.

Cheney looked over the Democratic field of potential candidates in an interview with conservative talk show host Sean Hannity.

"I think Hillary Clinton is a formidable candidate," Cheney said. "I think she could win. I hope she doesn't. I disagree with her on nearly all the issues, but nobody should underestimate her. She's a very serious candidate for president."

Edit:
OK, I'll make it clear: Are any of you really willing to trust Dick Cheney's assessment of the Democratic candidates? Give me a break. You should know that this is an attempt by Cheney to boost Clinton's support with the hope that gullible Democrats and liberals will think, "Wow, Dick Cheney is willing to admit that Hillary is a strong candidate. Maybe we should support her!" They WANT her to run! They would get Michael Moore to run for president if they could.

4. It could be they want Hillary to be the next LIEberman
Edited on Wed Oct-25-06 01:18 PM by IanDB1
Karl Rove: Hey, Dick... tell them you think Hillary would be a great president
Dick Cheney: Are you mad? Don't make me shoot you in the face.
Karl Rove: Seriously. Look what happened to Joe Lieberman when Republicans started endorsing him. The Liberal Moonbats went nuts and threw him under the bus.
Dick Cheney: Do you want me to give her a big kiss in front of the TV cameras?
Karl Rove: Ewww... Girls have cooties.

6. As much as I agree with you, it would depend on GOP nominee
If it was Hillary vs Cheney, I'd say that Hillary would win. Hillary vs. McCain....McCain... Hillary vs Allen....not sure...

In fact, I don't see Hillary getting that far in the primaries. People know she has too much baggage and would mobilize the Right Wing Repigs in droves.

7. That is exactly what I'm trying to say.
The Rightwing Drones think she is Satan. And who wouldn't turn-out on Election Day to vote against Satan? We all would!

8. Here's my deal on Dick Cheney.
He's an asshole.

He'll be evaluated by people with far larger big-picture minds than his own. I do not argue that he's stupid. Far from it. He's very intelligent, but it is the intelligence of a Machiavellian, a nihilist. He is the classic narrow mind narrow because of its own self-limitations.

Part of that evaluation will show that he was arguably the most powerful vice president in our history, and a still larger part will show that he squandered his opportunity to lead with lies and lots of them.

Miles and miles of deliberate lying.

He was one of the architects and office generals of the Iraq conflict and it has proven to be a spectacular failure.

He carries that into his future, provided his health holds out.

It doesn't matter one lick what he has to say about Democratic candidates.

He is a discredited failure right now, at this hour, and for all time to come.
