Patricia Heaton is really pissing me right off.
She is doing a commercial in Missouri, AGAINST the expansion of stem cell research.

Just saw it on Faux.

I was pissed when she was in that Path to 911 sham, but was giving her the benefit of the doubt.

This is beyond, beyond.

We're getting to see the uglier side of humanity so close to a very decisive election.

17. Bunch o' crap. Men sell their sperm; why can't women sell
their eggs if they want? Oh, wait. My bad! Only rich white Republican men have rights over women's bodies. :sarcasm:

6. This is cute...
(paraphrased)"Low income women will be seduced by the money clinics will pay for their eggs and it's a painful procedure!" She did use the word "seduce" - I didn't get that wrong.
Now isn't that nice of her to worry about low income women when she's sitting on a pile of cash from a ten year run on one of the highest rated sitcoms on TV. In fact, at one time her co-star was the highest paid actor on TV. I'm sure she wasn't hurting along with him. And she's worried about low-income women selling their eggs? Puhleeeeeeese...

9. She's very conservative Catholic
We used to live in the same community she grew up in, though she had already moved west. Her brother and dad were Dems, but she's much more conservative.

Her mother died very young and, living right across from the local Catholic Church and school, she spent a lot of time growing up with the nuns and priests at St. Raphael's - a very conservative Catholic parish.

She's also fervently pro-life. Typical St. Raphael's parish.

Patricia Heaton is the Spokesperson for Cure Autism Now (CAN), an anti-Austistic group that seeks to basically commit genocide against Austistics and our culture. :scared:

30. They're for the genocide of autistic people?
I looked at their website and it was just saying they're for fundraising for research for a cure for austism?

I googled a bit, but didn't find anything saying they're for the eradication of autistic people. Can you provide some links about that?

20. Come on...she's an outlier.
I doubt she's invited to too many A-list parties.

I have a fundie brother-in-law who works for NASA, and his wife can't seem to understand why all their scientist friends never invite them to parties and stuff.

I'm still trying to figure out my fundie brother-in-law reconciles his fundie-ness with being a NASA scientist.

23. It's a shame, huh?
Raymond is truly funny. I don't know why, I usually hate that kind of shit, but it really is well written. BUT, since finding out about Heaton's politics, that's all I think about when I watch the show. I see here in a scene and it's suddenly less funny, because I know what she's about.

25. Actually hundreds of medical organisations support embryonic. Guess she's a scientist?
To bad many people will still suffer from diseases (a plethora) because miss righteous has to have it her way. If this embryo thing is so bad then why did Gawd make so many animals that can only live by killing other animals. What a whack job. The earlier we get on this research the sooner there may be a cure for things like Alzheimer's. After all we can clone sheep, we should be cloning kidneys for people who need them so they don't have to wait with the possibility of death. What is wrong with her? I swear the only thing Republicans want to create is Stepford Wife Robots.

40. She once said something to the effect of
"I've had to work with a lot of Jews and liberals in Hollywood, but I don't mind because they're going to burn in hell and I'm not."

Maybe she left off the Jew part, but of course that's what people mean when they talk about "Hollywood liberals".
