I turned it off when that tool talked about bush being the first President to fund
stem cell research ..... No shit fella. It is a new technology. Thomas Jefferson did
not fund NASA, Teddy Roosevelt did not fund super computers, and Dwight Eisenhower
did not fund artificial hearts.

I'm going to put in a good word for this fellow, who goes by RaptorSixOne. I'm willing to take the flames for it.

He presents the facts as he sees them. They can be disputed, but he presents them and tells the viewer where he gets them. He does not engage in personal attacks against his opponents, as Limbaugh does. Certainly, this gentleman does not make any wild, unfounded remarks about the extent to which Mr. Fox suffers from PD. He comes nowhere near that.

I don't agree with this man, but I'm not angry with him. We need more of this kind of thing not just from the right but from our side as well.

As a believer in democracy, I will note that RaptorSixOne presents himself in a plain t-shirt without makeup on a set that appears to be a modest a working-class dwelling. He neither handles a microphone as well as Rush Limbaugh nor looks into a camera as well as Sean Hannity, but he still argues his point better than either of them has argued anything in ages.

I do not agree with RaptorSixOne that embryonic stem cell research is immoral. I certainly do not believe that this research can be compared to Nazi experiments on humans in concentration camps. Nevertheless, RaptorSixOne did not make me feel like I had just gone through combat because I hold a different point of view.

I respect this fellow. We can all learn something from him, regardless of his views on stem cell research.
