We should start telling EVERYONE we know that the Rush Limbaugh attack on Michael J. Fox was a watershed event: The final straw that shows the value of the FAIRNESS DOCTRINE and why it should be brought back.

The airwaves have become too shrill, too divisive and too mean-spirited. The public needs to take back control and DEMAND that its airwaves are operated in the public interest.

We need our airwaves to be used to inform and entertain us. Dividing the country with wall-to-wall scream fests and propaganda does not do that. Bring back the sanity, I say.

I don't plan to do much. Let him hang himself--he doesn't need my help, especially after his performance today.

Limbaugh is garbage. Decent people don't behave like he does, and he drives them away. Let him continue to do so. The airwaves have been too shrill and mean-spirited for years, and it's days like today that highlight that fact to other decent people who don't necessarily agree with me about the world.

As for those who continue to champion Limbaugh, I don't have much to say to them. Anyone who cheered him on today has much, much bigger problems than bad taste and faulty reasoning.

I think there will always be a certain number of people out there who think dogshit is delicious. Let them have it.
