Politics can be a rough-and-tumble business, and after years of campaigning, I have developed a pretty thick skin.

But recent attacks on me, my supporters -- and even my family -- have simply gone too far.

Ads by Jim Talent and the Republican National Committee have made the outrageous claim that as Auditor I ignored the plight of seniors in nursing homes, even to go as far as suggesting I overlooked sexual abuse of seniors.

They have attacked Iraq Veteran Josh after he appeared in a commercial for me to talk about the cuts in Veterans' benefits -- cuts that Jim Talent voted for -- that have made health care more inaccessible for our nation's service members.

And now they are after Michael J. Fox. All week, conservative talk-show host and Missourian Rush Limbaugh has accused Michael of exploiting his Parkinson's by "acting" or "exaggerating" his symptoms on the ad he taped for my campaign. Hear Limbaugh's shameful remarks.
