Clinton or Gore?
Edited on Wed Oct-25-06 08:31 PM by Texas Explorer
Now that Al Gore has http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=364&topic_id=2474931&mesg_id=2474931">indicated for the first time that he is thinking about running for president in '08, and assuming he actually does, who will be nominated...Gore or Clinton?

Here is my take for the next two presidential terms:

Can you guys recommend this so we can get a site-wide cross-section of opinions? Thanks!

10. LOL -- Gore/Kerry is my dream team
But I doubt Kerry would run for VP. My dream is that they would reach some kind of agreement to run with this ticket for the sake of the country, but they would treat it more as a co-presidency once elected.

5. Gore.
He's already won once. HRC's candidacy is almost purely a contrivance of the conservative punditocracy - the ultimate booby-trap.

9. Though I'm currently promoting a Gore/Obama ticket,
I think Hillary would be good VP choice also. I wouldn't be disappointed at that result.

11. Gore/Clinton -- awww, reminds me of 1992 and 1996!
The names remind me of better times. :)

President Gore and VP Hillary Clinton. Does anyone remember her health care plan but then the right wingers harassed her about it? :( I wouldn't mind the following: Gore/Kerry, Gore/Edwards, Gore/Clark, etc.

12. Just said this on another thread - but that's my political dream team
Some people might not be aware that Hillary and Al Gore have been at political odds with each other since 1992 (and that's putting it politely). There's no way they would run on the same ticket.

22. Ditto!
Obama is a star that will steadily shine for years, let it grow for now.
Some I'd like to see in a Gore cabinet, Edwards. Clark. Carl Levin. and one from opposite aisle, Trancredo or Paul. And while I'm at it, pull Trafficant out of jail and put him to work some damn place! I miss that spunky coots speeches. ~beam me up, scotty!

31. GORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gore is my choice, and has been my choice since sometime around 1997 or so. He will become one of our nation's greatest Presidents - a title he will richly deserve just for cleaning up Bush's mess.

32. Either would be a nightmare for the GOP
They are both extremely intelligent and have experience in major campaigns and have the lumps and bruises to prove it. The GOP threw everything it had at both of them and now that would all be old news. It would be very hard for the GOP to come up with a whole new litany of bogus things to accuse them of. Either one or both would be a blessing for America..
