Edited on Wed Oct-25-06 10:01 PM by mmonk
regarding impeachment? I need unfiltered quotes. The same for any other party officials or candidates. Also, were they coaxed into making any declarative statements or did they just volunteer the information without coaxing as something that needed to be stressed?

5. Don't read alot into this
The woman is smart and doesn't want this to be the adhoc topic of discussion being screamed by the right-wing screeds on Main Stream Media.

Pelosi has never spearheaded the impeachment movement - that job is done by the chair of the House Judiciary Committee which IF we get the majority would be John Conyers. He has neither agreed or disagreed with what Pelosi has said.

Let's not put the cart before the horse - we need a majority first if we even want to contimplate an impeachment

6. I'm trying not to.
It just seems everyone seems real definitive on what will happen on either side of the argument. I will work hard for victory and then make my judgement as things progress should we be successful. I've been disappointed so long, I tend to be negative since I want the nightmare assault on our constitution to cease, especially since this president has gotten nearly everything he has wanted no matter how controversial or how severe of a powerplay.

8. She's holding her cards close to her chest.
No fodder for the election. Stay tuned. She has an obligation to impeach if the investigations show the psycho broke the law. She took an oath. John Conyers will spearhead the investigations. He knows where to look. He knows where all the bodies are buried and he knows these people have committed crimes. This is NOT the end of this subject.

9. Conyers probably already has all his ducks in a row
(from what I can tell). I have supreme confidence in him.

11. Oh yeah! All those hearings he held and the books he's published
about what he learned from those hearings? His ducks are in a row...just waiting for the day. Pelosi will have no other choice but to Impeach. It's her duty.

10. She chose her words very carefully
They were trying to get her to say she was for impeachment, but she wouldn't say it. She did not say she wasn't for impeachment either. She just said it wasn't on the table.
