Seriously, it's like monday morning quarterback here two weeks early. The courts, which are supposed to make decisions independent of politics made a decision and their timing was totally beyond our control. It may help us and it may hurt us but the point is that we can't do shit about it. Arguing about whether we will lose the Senate because of it is completely counter productive because once again WE CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

Can we get back to discussing something productive that will help us win in November and not things that are beyond our control.

2. Yeah, how old is too old for Obama to accept being a Xtian?
A lot of debate on that tonight. Should Obama appear on Ophrey and say Christ showed him the way?

Let's talk about priorities here.

3. I would dare say that more people
are concerned about the disasterous war in Iraq, the economy and the general sorry state of the nation, than about a ruling in a state that doesn't affect them good or bad, if the fundies want to go crazy about it, while their 401k's (if they have them) are going down the drain or realizing that a good number are one paycheck from ruin, or their kid may end up playing IED bingo in Baghdad next year this time(If the GOP wins, God Forbid) let the yo-yo's knock themselves out.

4. Gay rights/marriage as a political
issue is dead except for those who would vote Republican anyway. Most folks these days have bigger fish to fry.

5. It's really a non-issue
The NJ ruling leaves the sacred institution of marriage intact. It's meant to make civil unions much easier, and lots of people who oppose "gay marriage" don't object to civil unions. Plus the whole "protect marriage" campaign's lost a lot of steam lately. There's more important things going on.

I don't think this will have a serious impact. So you're right. We should let it be.
