Craig Ferguson interviewing "Bush" |
|
Edited on Wed Oct-25-06 11:57 PM by aquart
He already called Rush a fat jerk.
"Bush": "When Laura and I were dating, she told people I was her special half-brother."

1. I guess we're the only Craig Ferguson fans around |
|
His monologues are usually hilarious, though the sketches tend toward the lame. The Bush guy is funny though.
Did you see the show Monday night? CF was even more manic than usual. I was wondering if he was back into the nose candy. :)

To each their own, I guess. :)

The guests are negotiable, but I love those monologues.

I love his monologues. "It's a great day in America & I'll tell you why" makes me drop whatever I'm doing & pay attention. The sketches are usually lame although I have to admit I like the Prince Charles ones if only for the visuals. I can't stand the Michael Caine in space bit & use that for my bathroom or kitchen break.

I respectfully disagree with the opinion that his monologues are boring. When I hear that comedians spend months perfecting a 10- or 15-minute routine, I can't help but be impressed with anybody who can deliver a nightly monologue and make me laugh out loud even once. (Yes, I know they have writers, even Dave and definitely Jay. But Craig seems to ad lib really well. And Dave can make me laugh out loud once or twice a show, but Craig does even better. With me, anyway.)
Plus, OMG, that Scottish accent. What a lovely way to drift off into dreamland!
Another reason I love Craig--he wants U.S. citizenship but doesn't censor his attitude towards the government. He seems to be completely aware of the risk he's taking in that regard but goes ahead nonetheless.
Oh, I love me some Craig Ferguson. Yes I do. :loveya:

6. I know this is crazy, but... |

I emailed him a link to Keith Olbermann's "Special Comment" on habeas corpus. I asked him to try to do a "funny" version of it. I not sure how that would be possible, but hey, he's a talented guy. :)
