dubya: "I understand how tough it is, really tough. It's tough for a reason"
Edited on Thu Oct-26-06 04:59 AM by Philosoraptor
People now understand the stakes. We're winning, and we will win, unless we leave before the job is done. And the crucial battle right now is Iraq. And as I said in my statement, I understand how tough it is, really tough. It's tough for a reason; because people understand the stakes of success in Iraq.

----------------------

I feel so much better, don't you? Just knowing that the president understands how tough it is, how REALLY tough. It's good to know that there is a reason for it being so tough, we can all breath a sigh of relief just knowing that.

Once again, words used to hide the true horror of what is going on by his decree. "TOUGH". What a insulting word and what an insulting man.

What tough really means is, if you don't like my war and the profits I'm making from it, tough shit.

1. I can take those words from, lets say, Shaquille O'Neill.
But not from a shrub.

2. We have to stop maligning plant life.
Global warming is enough for our flora and fauna to cope with.

4. Reminiscent of his "hard work" speech........
neither of which can be taken seriously. The chimp wouldn't know "tough" ot "hard work" if they came up and bit him square in the ass.
Why don't his advisers tell him to remain silent? Every time the Moron in Chief opens his mouth crap dribbles out. Diarrhea of the mouth is not a desirable trait in a politician, especially one of Bush's caliber.

7. That one almost drove me nuts. Like a lazy teen-ages. Hates work
He seems to often explain things with the things he wants to explain. I know their is some logic name for that type of stuff but I sure knew my Jr. High English teacher would have killed us if we had done it. I think he is in his 'running for office mode' I have read he talks more like Tex. and likes to get down to the level of his voters. With Bush what you see is never what he is really.

12. I guess so. A tree is a tree because it is a tree.
I hated formal logic in college and as an art major they pushed you in the other way so what do I know? Bush does seem to run very well and with a Master in business one knows he is educated. He has to talk well just coming out of that family. We just learn how at home. It is all an act with that man. It is like TV. What is it they aim for, 4th grade of some such thing? Bush thinks his base is like he acts. Fallacy are high on the list. He is talking to that base. It is like talking down to children and they see it in a minute usually. His base is what gets me as they must know by today that he just talks and never tells they the truth or like Rush just part of the truth.

8. The job IS done
Get rid of Hussein -- check.
Find WMD -- well there were none, but check.

Can we stop being tough and start being smart? The Iraqis would appreciate it and so would our troops.

Yeah, we know it's irony, but he doesn't. Everything he says is irony (or if you prefer hypocritical).

13. A CBS reporter was at the house of a family who just lost a son
in Iraq. They were watching Bush's press conference yesterday. After a quote by Bush, and I think it's the one you have in the OP, the reporter said he noticed them visibly flinch and he asked them why. The Mom said something like Pres. Bush will never, ever understand until he sends his own daughters over there and every single day he has to live with the agony of not knowing if they will come home or not. I was stunned that CBS would even put that on the air.

:wow:

14. He reminds me of the ole boy who will work himself to death getting out of work
I'd a been on him like a chicken on a june bug if he would have ever shown up on one of my jobs, what with his work ethics and all, I'd a seen him for what he is as he walked up.

16. So, how is "we will win, unless we leave before the job is done"
any different from "We're staying the course"?
